A New Battlefield

The Darkmoon Faire Championship is bringing a new format to World of Warcraft TCG competitive play in the form of Block Constructed. Using only cards from the Burning Crusade Block, players will have to develop new decks to compete in a format without any of the staples they have become accustomed to including in their lists. Which decks will rise to the top in the new format? Find out with everyone else when the Darkmoon Faire Championships kicks off on Saturday morning!

2008 Darkmoon Faire Championship Prizes

 

  • Computer: You specify PC or Mac and laptop or desktop, and Upper Deck will build you the most insane computer we can
  • Home Theater: We’ll hook you up with a brand new flat-screen TV, surround sound stereo, and DVD player (your choice of either Blu-Ray or HD DVD).
  • Travel: Upper Deck will pay for your travel (flight and hotel accommodations) to any Darkmoon Faire event in the world.

 

Not only will champions get even more epic loot to choose from, but Top 8 competitors will walk away with Spectral Tiger Loot cards! This year’s tour is also offering some great EA cards to participants! All Darkmoon Faire Championship competitors will receive an Extended Art Vorden the Shadowbringer card, and the top 64 competitors will walk away with an Extended Art copy of Dreamstate.

Gadgets for All!

 

The Gadgetzan Challenge has always been a favorite of players looking to put their Limited skills to the test and earn some cool prizes in the process. The Gadgetzan Challenge will be run in flights. New tournaments will begin immediately for each group of thirty-two players who sign up. The first-place finisher after Swiss rounds will win his or her choice of one of the following:

 

• 160 GB iPod Classic

• 16 GB iPod Touch

• Nintendo Wii

• Xbox 360

• Playstation 3

• $300 Best Buy gift card

 
In addition to all of the usual great prizes, the winner of each flight will also be able to compete in Sunday's Gadgetzan Championship! The Championship will be a Constructed tournament that sends the winner home with their choice of a Dell XPS or Macbook Pro Laptop.

The Darkmoon Faire PvP server is back, bringing fully geared level 70 characters of every class and race with it! Pick your favorite pre-made character, and compete in 2v2 Arena tournaments and Treasure Hunts for Best Buy gift cards and other exciting prizes. Show off your leveling skills and compete in our contest that pits you against everyone else armed with nothing more than a level 1 character. Whoever has the most experience when time is called will take home a coveted Spectral Tiger Loot Card!

Crafting Time

We will be offering Crafting Redemptions at the Upper Deck booth in Gen Con's Main Exhibit Hall. The Crafting Program is a great way for players to redeem the Trade Goods from their UDE Points cards in exchange for powerful Crafting promo cards that can’t be found anywhere else!
