Hello Everyone,

For the Darkmoon Faire Charlotte Miniatures Qualifier tournaments and the Miniatures Championship event, players will be using the Border Dispute map which is found on page 32 of the deluxe edition rulebook. A pdf of the page can be downloaded here, and a summary of the map specific rules can be found below.

One item of note is as follows:

End-of-Match Procedure

This scenario will follow standard end-of-match procedure as outlined in the World of Warcraft® Miniatures Policy with one exception.

D-14, bullet #2 is not applicable to this map scenario and will not be used.

Should a match need to be determined through end-of-match procedure on this map, the match winner will be determined through the following process:

·         A player or team wins the match if he or she is closer in victory points to the total number of victory points that he or she needs to normally win.

·         If both totals are either equal distance away from their victory point totals, or are both over the victory point totals by the same amount, the player or team whose party costs the most honor is the winner of the game.

·         If both parties cost the same amount of honor, then play continues in sudden death mode 1 tick at a time, and the winner is the person or team that scores the first victory point. It’s possible that during this time both players or teams score the same amount of simultaneous victory points. In this case, play continues. During sudden death mode, at the end of each tick, each character on or adjacent to a Victory Point location scores 1 point for their party.

Other than that change, everything else is as you know it.

Maps will be provided for each competitor in each qualifying flight and in the Miniatures Championship, and each player will be able to keep their own copy of the map.

See you in Charlotte!
