The Darkmoon Faire: we bring the fun to you! You can mark these events down on your calendars. With each month comes a new Darkmoon Faire for some lucky city in the world, and you can follow along with the live coverage team here on WoWTCG.com. Even with all the videos, podcasts, stories, and pictures, we can’t do the faire justice. Talk to anyone who has summoned his or her inner rockstar in front of the plasma TV or kicked back with a beverage in the player’s lounge—the Darkmoon Faire is more than just the tournament.

Yes, you can be just like the Level 80 Elite Tauren Chieftains of Blizzard fame! Each Darkmoon Faire brings along a 50” plasma TV and Rock Band 2! Kick back on the comfortable furniture and put down your epic swords and staves. Wield the legendary guitar, bass, drums, or microphone, and let the Darkmoon Faire know you’re the true master of ceremonies! If you’re there just for the party, you can lounge out with the rest of the players and hang out for some story time. If you want to hear the latest tale of victory or bad beat song of woe—or if you want to rub elbows with your favorite World of Warcraft TCG celebrity—it’s going to happen at the Player’s Lounge.

And what would a faire be without carnival games? You can earn tickets like you would at any other carnival, though ours are of the special Darkmoon Faire variety! You can turn them in for prizes like Darkmoon Faire playmats and lots of other cool stuff! Up first are two games of skill. There’s no clown mouth to fill with water, but you can tip over some trolls! If you knock over two trolls, you can win Drums of War booster packs, DMF tickets, or a The Natural Order Extended Art promo! If you score a flawless 3 of 3, you can pick up a World of Warcraft Minis booster pack or Papa Hummel’s Old-Fashioned Pet Biscuit Loot card! The same goes for the bean bag toss, except there’s one more prize! If you score a perfect 1500, Mike Girard himself will present you with a special prize! Of course, if you’d like to leave your end to the fates, you can try and charm lady luck on the Wheel of Fortune. Do you want your own guild tee-shirt? Win some sweet SwagDog gift cards! If you’d rather take home something more trophy-like to celebrate your Darkmoon Faire experience, you can win some of the DC World of Warcraft figures! If you need some backup against your foes at the faire, you can’t ask for much better than Vindicator Marrad. Those and a myriad of other prizes can be won on the Wheel of Fortune. Make sure you line up early! Prizes are guaranteed to go fast!

What kind of backup would you need? If you’re on the hunt for a Spectral Tiger Loot card, you can head to the MMO LAN! Solo, duos, or full-fledged teams—all can compete! Five-person parties can race other teams in Treasure Hunts and Speed Instance Runs to win fabulous prizes! You can also rope yourself an arena teammate and play in the 2v2 tournaments. If you’re solo, you can always find a group to play with in the rest of the events, but you can also play in the speed leveling contest. With a Spectral Tiger Loot card up for grabs, each player has 90 minutes to start a level 1 character and gain as many levels as possible! You can watch as a swarm of Blood Elves all backpedal as they waste no time in traveling from mob to mob, killing as they go, mimicking Damien Dufresne’s strategy that has carried him to multiple shiny Tigers! Each event is a paltry $5 to join, and all proceeds to go the Child’s Play Charity, bringing gaming to children’s hospitals across the globe!

Yes, this is all going on alongside the two Darkmoon Faire Championships, one for the TCG and one for the Minis game. As you can see, there’s far too much fun to fairly show on the WoWTCG.com website. You’ll have to head down to the faire to experience it yourself. Scope out our Darkmoon Faire schedule on the Organized Play page and head to your favorite travel website. Join the legions of Warcraft fans this year in Europe, Australia, and the United States! You won’t want to miss a single Warcraft weekend and the chance to bring home a treasure chest of prizes. We hope to see you out there!
