    Worldofwarcraft.com?

I think the coverage for this game on the main wow site has been lackluster at best, I hopeUDE is talking to Blizzard about getting it more front page time to help get the word out.

When the product is closer to launch, they'll probably do some sort of collaboration between the two sites.

The collector's edition of BC will contain 2 starters (and I bet you that the heroes will be a Blood Elf paladin and a Draenei shaman). I think that's as good a cross-promotion as the game can get from Blizzard.

I don't think that Blood Elf Paladins and Draenei Shamans will be ready for release when the Burning Crusade somes out.  Granted, who knows when it'll be out, but I thought I'd heard late this year. :)

A Blood Elf and a Draenei hero is the only thing that makes sense to include in Burning Crusade. And to quote Jeff Donais (EMPHASIS ADDED): "including [...] 3 foil promo cards (which will be released in a FUTURE SET in non-foil version)"

What cards would you include as foils if not the heroes? It all fits. Only the classes are a little bit uncertain, but since being able to become Shaman is the defining feature of the Draenei and being able to become Paladins is the defining feature of the Blood Elfs, I can't see why they wouldn't choose those 2 classes. As for being ready for release, why would it take so much time to create 2 additional heroes? All you need is 2 drawings and 2 special abilities.

It would also give us 2 of each class.  As far as what cards you'd include as foils?  Who knows?  Game companies sometimes have some really odd choices of what and what not to foil.  I agree the Heroes would make the most sense, but there's no guarantee that it'll be them that get the foiling.

It would do for the TCG what BC does for the MMORPG, give both factions access to the same classes. So it's the perfect parallel. If they don't do this I think they need to fire the marketing department. As far as promotion is concerned, both for the MMORPG content and for the TCG, having a BE and a D hero is 10 times more effective than having any other random Horde and Alliance heroes.

While I'm speculating, my guess for the 3rd foil is a neutral ally with a loot code on it.

I'd say "no" to them being Heroes, but that'd just be my guess. :)

    Re: Worldofwarcraft.com?

Hyping something early (in this case over a year ago) and then not giving any information is par for the course for blizzard.

I actually find UDE to be a pleasant surprise that they're accutally telling us so much about the game.

    Re: Worldofwarcraft.com?

Blizzard doesn't usually promote off-shoot products too much. They do announce them, but usually leave the by-product producers to thier own thing.

The board game got a one time announcement as well as the bronze figures for it. They did a one time announcement for the CCG right? They may do another when BC comes out if there is cross promotion involved.

The board game is GREAT! by the way.

    Re: Worldofwarcraft.com?

I wouldn't mind something official either ... but at least WoWRealms.com was the "Community Spotlight for a good week (link , all the way at the bottom).  I'm sure that as time gets closer, they'll do something.  There will probably be a tie-promotion or something. Seeing that there are in-game elements, people need at least an explanation of where all the turtle mounts are coming from. LOL!

I still get tells almost two years after release about where my panda came from ..... I can't wait for the flood of "dude, who gives out the turtle quest?"
