My question is during the combat step, if lets say Kagra of the Crossroads is attacking Kryton Barleybeard and the hero controlling Kryton then decides to use kryton's payment power before combat is resolved and destroys himself, does Kagra just end her combat step since her proposed defender was destroyed before combat is finished, leaving her exhausted, or does she get to pick a new target?
