The "announcement" in September said they were still looking for a manufacturer. Even if they found someone the next day and negotiated a major contract in record time, I can't imagine it will be ready for release in early 2010, let alone now, given how far in advance these things are normally done and just how little hype there's been.
I'm betting that if Souls is released, it will be in April at the earliest.
I don't think a surprise sneak-peak would be effective anyways since it sounds like attendance in Vegas is going to be pretty low.
Actually if they did find some one it wouldn't take long at all to mass produce the figures. They already have the molds and the cards for the 5th set done, so all they need is a Nike style factory with a bunch of kids to pump them out by Feb.
