    Now, really, who doesn't love a good Epic Repaint? I know I certainly do, and this one has been sitting on a shelf for months, waiting for a working camera to put him out there for your viewing pleasure.

    Thanks! In retrospect, I'm not sure if painting the stones by hand would have meant less work.


    For him and 2 Felguard Legionnaires so far, I hacked the figs off the base and layered them in sculpting putty that I later carved up into various forms of terrain.  The 3-D effect really pops for me and is an alternative to flocking that I find appealing. No messy parts!

    very cool, I like how the gold base matches his trim. The way you pianted his beard almost makes him look like a different character. very EPIC

    Heh. Thanks, I suppose.  To get a more authentic Bolvar, I referenced a few game caps and some of his appearances in the comics.

    lol, sorry, from the pics you posted it doesn't look like he has a moustache, but on a closer look I see it. Anyway it's awesome to finally see a Bolvar repaint he was my first epic pull
