    Greench and Icy Barbs?

The Abominable Greench reads If an opponent would draw a card, you draw one instead.

Edit: Icy Barbs Reads  Each opponent cant draw cards unless he pays 1 for each card.

What happens if your opponent has the greench out but you refuse to pay 1 to draw a card.(your not getting the card anyways he is).

The way i figgere this is that if I do not pay the 1 he cant draw my card.

Please let me know if i am right im lost on this one lol.

Edit: I just read Icy Barbs and that's NOT what it says. Either post the exact card text or don't post what it does and let us look it up. Formulating new response...

You were correct. If you choose not to pay the 1, your opponent doesn't draw the card.

That's ok, just offering advice for any questions you might have in the future. Like most card games, the exact wording of the card is very important to how the card works, one word here or there could chance an effect.

    Re: Greench and Icy Barbs?

I kind of prefer people don't post the card text because there's a chance that they posted it incorrectly or posted an outdated text. Like you said, wording is important.

It is a different matter with new cards (i.e. Scourgewar) since most people are unfamiliar with the card and the resource to find the actual text is hard to come by.

    Re: Greench and Icy Barbs?

Personally I prefer it when people post the text, but if they do I don't bother to look it up and make sure they got it correct. I've answered more than a few questions incorrectly because of that.

    Re: Greench and Icy Barbs?

So does the same type of thing happen with Icy barbs and Brain Lock? Here is Brain Lock's text:

Ongoing: Brain Lock enters play with two frost counters.
If an opponent would draw a card, he skips drawing that card and you remove a frost counter instead. If none remain, destroy Brain Lock.

For instance, if i control a brain lock and an Icy Barbs, what happens if my opponent chooses not to pay 1? My thought is that since Brain Lock's replacement modifier never has anything to replace, the frost counters stay right where they are as opposed to being removed in the place of drawing.

    Re: Greench and Icy Barbs?

You are correct. Icy Barbs stops the draw, so there's never a draw for Brain Lock to replace.

They gave me some judge levels or something, too...
