    question reguarding Las Vegas DMF!

so the wife and i were planning on heading to Las Vegas from the 4-7 of december to celebrate her 25th birthday and i was considering also going to the DMF while i'm there and then spending the evenings with her and attend some shows such as cirque du sole and possibly others

now.. i see that there is somthing for the DMF happening on the 4th (friday).. however.. our plane won't arrive in vegas @ 1:30 pm.. what time does this event on friday start? and is it manditory if i want to participate in the saturday and sunday events? because if i could just skip the friday.. i'd prefer that instead

also.. what are the running times for saturday and sunday for the event? so we know what time to book our shows at

    thanks in advance :)

Re: question reguarding Las Vegas DMF!

ok so i was reading up on what i can attend

    now my next question

"Registration opens 1 hour before the scheduled start time and closes 5 minutes before the scheduled start time. "

i assume that means per event, correct?

or does that mean for the entire day? meaning that i would not be able to attend the 4pm game on friday because my plane doesn't arrive until 1:30pm and the start of the day is at 12pm and i missed sign ups for the entire day

    thanks for any clarification guys

Not being one of the staff for this event, I could be overruled, but as I understand it, each event has a separate registration period, as demonstrated at Nationals and Worlds for side events.

I think Worlds' mandatory player meeting scared a few people who were afraid they couldnt make it.

I cannot recall quite how DMF:Charlotte worked with qualifiers, but I believe the registration periods for each qualifier followed the guidelines you already mentioned.  Meaning, you ought to be just fine arriving Friday at 130 if you can sign up before 3:55pm.

    Cheers!

Each qualifier for DMFs are separate events. The Worlds player meeting was a special thing, because that was Worlds and there was really only one qualifier tourney. Unlike, say, DMFs or NAC.

Registrations open an hour before each individual qualifier event. And at DMF, everybody's going to be in those qualifiers, no matter how many top 8s we've had before. ;)
