Re: The Gladiators - Rings and Things

I like running Renewal in Emek (w/Searing Light, Dethvir, and Undercity) along with the Arena theme, myself.  There's nothing more fun than G. Boum + G. Zimo + G. Sepirion for 32! The arena variant also gets the most out of Short John Mithril, as he serves as both a tutor for the ring and a finisher with the other Arena guys to pump him.  I also wanted to mention how great You, Robot is for limiting the opponent's answers for the Ring!

Now that the word is out, how crazy are the mirror matches at Realm Champs going to be...

    For the Spark deck:
You can win by bringing back as few as three allies

    Which 3 would this be?

    Let's see:

Ring on t4 happens on t5

Spark costs 4 so u have 1 resource

1 resources + 1 hero + 3 allies with IP = 5 cards to tap for spark (4 damage each)

possibly grounding totem that he mentioned for another 4 damage.

Gromble who might be on the field to fuel the combo and can deposit another 4 damage.

So i guess it's possible when you bring back only 3 allies

I'm SOOO looking forward to playing Snipe against the allies the ring retrieves.
I just hope nobody wants to bring back WotF allies. =(

You forgot Spark itself can be exhausted.

    3 allies + 1 resource + 1 hero + 1 Spark = 6 activations of Spark x 4 damage = 24 damage

That could be enough if you've done some damage already, or have other cards in play.

Good luck exhausting Spark (a non-ongoing ability).

Because Spark is In play and under your control?

This sounds like a challenge, persuade people you can in fact exaust spark each round.

Who would argue with a multiple DMF top8er and one of the elite minions of 2009? He MUST know the rules, so I'll allow him to exhaust spark.

If you're going to do that, you might as well just run Myriam or any other pinger (Tim FTW!)

    No quote for you!
