Short report from the T.O.  Thanks to the 11 players that made the trip to the Wizard's Wall, especially the guys who came down from Orlando!

Neat play of the day:  Quarterfinals match between Brett (Mother Misery) and Kevin (T. Lionar, lots of counters into Illidan).  Kevin's got lots of dead cards (Pummels, Deafening Shouts, Sudden Deaths), and they make up most of his hand.  He's got double Blood Knight Kyria and double Whispering Blade of Slaying on the board, and 3 resources ready, but he's taken a lot of damage (around 20 or so iirc).  Brett tries to play a weapon.  Kevin Absolute Poises the weapon, but in response, Pummels his own Absolute Poise, and then Pummels his own Pummel.  The 'Poise goes through to counter the weapon, and Kevin heals 24 from his hero!

Yea, I remember that play exactly as you described it. He Absolute Poised me trying to play Hammer of the Naaru which would have finished the game that turn. It just delayed my daggers 2 or 3 more turns for the kill. It was nice to play against a non net-deck Lionar.

Yea, turn two...Eye of Kilrogg, turn 3...Eye, turn 4...Eye!!!! I didn't quite find it so funny at the time, but now I can look back and laugh.

None of us are planning on going out to Ft Myers. We are all qualified now and are pretty much just gonna continue play testing these last 2 weeks before Champs.
