The Gladiators - The Roof Is On Fire

The Gladiators - The Roof Is On Fire
    By Bryan Lyons

The deck to beat as we gear up for Realm Championships is ocne again Horde Shaman. The Troll experienced a renaissance at the 2009 NACC, and BLyons has the scoop!

Re: The Gladiators - The Roof Is On Fire

I figured that a title like the roof is on fire would mean Merrick.. Kilzin is still around much to the annoyance of players, similar herpes that you contracted years ago.. This build is slower than it can be probably because of matchups against certain popular allies, ie Weldon and Kazamon. If those allies hit the field, the Kilzin player needs to draw an answer eventually...

After testing this exact build myself, i found that the quest base is a problem for me. The only way to draw early is junk, and the only way to draw late is to have no hand or resources to spare. I would think that falling to corruption wouldn't fit in a slightly slower less "balls out" kilzin. And Eye of the storm seems to be everyones favourite new location. Much like dmf was when it first came out, it seems to find it's place into any and every deck, including the mentioned fleckenstein kilzin.

But, much like Kilzin of old, it always has the perfect hand blowout potential of killing within 5-6 turns...

No disrespect to Corey in any way.   This build of kilzin is simply the one that avoided silvermoon city all day.  I personally don't think it is optimal at all.

    ( seriously, it is)

The strong lay down only their weapons. The weak lay down their lives.

So you are playing druid control, or paladin control

Yes based on your Europe meta not ours. Why do you think the top 8 in every country was not the same? Your right in many situations the kilzin list in europe that I faced at worlds in the gagetstan championship is a much better deck entirely plus it was piloted by an amazing german player went to 3 games was great. Again the list from US Nacc was very good for the meta call plain and simple.

I dodged Silvermoon City all day too. So did all the top deck dodge it and that's why they did so well or was Silvermoon City not a big factor at all in a Black Ice-heavy meta?

Re: The Gladiators - The Roof Is On Fire

Thats why I was sad. I was facing off against decks except for the top tables with Varanis and silvermoon city only was useless vs ressa shadeshine and pally. Pally didnt matter since that deck cant beat Varanis. Ressa seemed like a good meta call since it was one of 2 decks to beat me and it only had 2 losses as well. Who knows what Realm Champs will bring?

Re: The Gladiators - The Roof Is On Fire

Do I detect a Bloodhound Gang reference?

Or am I uneducated and it's actually referring to something far older/more obscure?

Re: The Gladiators - The Roof Is On Fire

The original song itself is slightly older than that, though he could have been referencing BHGs use of it.
