    Possible balance issue? Discuss..

I've been thinking--As the attacker you are able to choose the defender. Does it seem that a tactic that may become overused is to just go for the hero each time? Will decks be built solely on trying to get as many attackers out and pumping out as much damage per turn as possible, with the only counter is the 'Protector' ability? Enlighten me on the different ways you could prevent a deck like that.

They'd quickly end up with all their allies getting picked off 1 by 1, leaving them with no allies, no cards, and no way to deal the last 5-10 damage, while their opponent has more than enough to kill them in a turn or two.

You prevent a deck like that by a) using weapons, b) using removal spells, c) using your own allies to attack their allies (doesn't work with Elusive allies, obviously) or d) running protectors.

I'm sure that people will be attacking heroes directly more often than not. Learning when it's correct to focus on allies instead is the real trick.

Indeed. In fact in my test runs this happened frequently to the Warrax demo deck. If the Warrax deck went full force in the beginning, by turn 5 or 6 it started topdecking while the opposing hero had 10-15 hp left. By then the other deck has massive card advantage and went for the win while the Warrax deck was topdecking for the next 4 turns straight.

That's how I have had the most success against Warrax, get rid of those first few allies he gets out asap.  Once he is relying on draws and quests to get something decent out, you have really slowed him down.  Ta'zo seems to take a few more turns than Warrax to get moving.

That's not a balance issue at all, more of a strategy one. You can always choose to attack either the hero or the allies, but keep in mind your opponent can do the same. If you throw ally after ally into the hero only to have them die the following turn, armor>you.
