    Ashenvale Realm Champs Location?

So, it looks like it's just Ashenvale and Tanaris that still don't have their Realm Championships locations finalized.

Can we get an update on the current status of these locations/anouncements?

Yeah, I've been really looking forward to not having to travel out of state for a major event again. (DMF Anaheim and DMF SF were good)

+1 - hoping for San Diego for Tanaris. Also hoping for some info on Realm Open format?

I seem to remember it being in Sacramento... Although, Portland sounds good to me!

Yes - It was listed as Sacramento when they announced the entire schedule for 2009.

Maybe Nydyne can tell us if A-1 is currently being considered for it.

    Cheers.

Yeah I believe that was what was planned but apparently something changed. Maybe it was planned that way when Cascade was running things but now it's changed.

I'm still hoping to hear anything soon.

I'm guessing by the push to worlds we won't be seeing an announcement for a couple of weeks. If we don't hear anything after worlds I'll do a full court press on gwon and roshen for details.

Word on the street is that they are looking for places in the Bay area. I think judges are the problem though, they are looking at places where they will actually get some judges...

A-1 Comics with Joey as the Judge with Brian or John as the backup would be perfect. What's so difficult :)

    Cheers.

    Re: Ashenvale Realm Champs Location?

portland or Seattle would be a fine place to host a Realm Championship for Ashenvale.  there really shouldnt be to much problems finding judges either.   i know of 3 stores in WA that holds WoW Tournaments, and from what i understand each of them have very competent judges.  Even finding a place in the middle of the 2 such as Tacoma wouldnt be to bad, but no matter where u put it u will have people complaining about traveling...

A-1 Comics is being considered. The strike against them is that they only have seating for about ~80 or so. For Realm Champs, the minimum seating for events is ~120.

    Re: Ashenvale Realm Champs Location?

Ummmm...I am absolutely convinced that Salem did not have 120 seating available for WoW last Realms. Maybe 80 for Pokemon and 40 for WoW at best. If A-1 can guarentee 80 for WoW, I would go with them!!!

The other alternative would be to go with the old South San Francisco Convention Center or San Jose Convention Center where we used to have Regionals.

BTW: Thanks for posting in the thread to re-assure us that you're working on it Gwon.

    Cheers.
