I decided to take a Matriana Mind wrench deck to the first RQ. I should
have borrowed R.Levin's Eternums and taken a Gnome Rogue. The deck did not run enough hard-to-deal-with threats, and spleunker is too
easily dealt with.
R1: Jacob M playing JinRohk Pally. I thought I
had good game here, but Game one, Ice Barbed Spear slowed me down
miserably, and eventually he plonked me mostly to death with it,
before finishing with 7 or so off a cloak of darkness. Game two I sided in
2 more pappy and 3 disperse(?) magic. And lost to a Jinrohk that was
drawn as the 3rd card from a CTA: Arathi Basin, completed in response to a
vampiric tendrils.
R2: Steve L playing Orc Rogue Game one I have a strong vampiric tendrils, and win with a 22/22 spleunker. Game two I loose to a sideboarded Shuriken of Negation stealing tempo not once, but twice. Oops! Game
three I seem to be in control, but he top decked a dealiness, dropping
me by a resource and a slpeunker. Then, on a critical turn I didn't hold
back a omens of terror, so couldn't finish off his treebole once it ran into my Jameson. Boo.
R3: Phill C Gnome Rogue Game one I loose to his stable board presence, namely, Black amnesty and a hope ender, Dimzers, etc. Game
two is more of the same: my threats do not answer his threats one for
one, and eventually I am five-damaged to death, along with a 6 token
hope ender.
R4: Bye. I watch Phill C's match against a horde
intimidation hunter, which was very interesting. Intimidation, the
armor set, 10or so pets. etc. I forget who won, but it went to three games.
On my left, I
watched a cat (sorry I don't remember your name) playing a very
interesting glass cannon horde holy priest deck. He runs a few will of
the foresaken as well as blind faith, but I didn't see any gavels,
which saddens me. I think he lost to being out drawn by a gnome
warlock.
Other decks there included: 2 (pretty sure gnome) warlock decks, a midrange(?) horde shaman, and a horde arena hunter deck.
DECKLIST: 4 Auchidon Spirit Towers 4 Darkness Calling 4 Rise and Be recognized 3 Towers and Bunkers
2 Splinter Mind 3 owned! 3 A Taste of Divinity 4 Omens of Terror 4 Mist of Corrosion 4 Horrify 4 Vampiric Tendrils
2 Pappy Ironbane 3 spleunker maddocks 4 gromble the apt 4 Royal Guardian Jameson 4 Mikael the blunt
SIDE: 3 wub's 3 disperse magic 2 pappy 2 splinter mind
Conclusion: Not enough game changing and/or hard to deal with threats. And in two games, towers and bunkers only drew me one card, / was hard to turn on. And let's face it: every alliance deck should be running weldons and Adams. If they're not, they're missing amazing board presence.
Changes: -3 owned! -4 Royal Guardian Jameson
+4 Adam +3 Weldon
Or +3 Nether shard +4 weldon
Or Quickhands spigot gulp Weldon
ETC.
Thoughts?

Chad Gaynier won with Ryno, he beat Phil Cape playing Alliance Deadliness Rogue.
There were 11 players and a cut to top 8. 3 Ryno (including myself) 1 horde priest with searing light, 1 horde hunter ocs + intimidation, 1 arena.dec, 1 horde enhance shaman, 1 horde deadliness rogue, 1 horde solo pally, 1 alliance deadliness rogue and 1 alliance priest.

I'm assuming that is something that makes sense to British people.

Should of been a cut to the top 4 not 8 for only 11 players.

You (that's you Phil) never (ever ever) Fail (Epically, in fact) to (infinitive) Dissapoint (feeling of dissatisfaction that follows the failure of expectations to manifest) There. Simple. You always dis-satisfy people. Cheers.

Judge said it was cut to top 8 regardless of size per a new policy document they recieved from upper deck. i didn't care, so i was cool with that.

Pandemonium's Battlegrounds start at 6pm on Tuesdays. Last Tuesday there were 11-13 of us, including three(?) Day 2 NACC'ers. The local scrubs aren't to scrubby, either.
