Welcome back to yet another interval of One Man's Junk. This weeks adventure features the Discipline Priest, Anchorite Christia. No Shadowform and no Holy Nova here, only the sheer awesomeness of of the character alone, and a few good ABCs. So lets break down the stats here. 1 armor, 2 resist and 6 health is a pretty fragile character. And then there is the range of 2 on the attack, so she needs to get pretty close to actually attack, which at three dice for 2 ticks is just not that exciting. It pretty much says "Farm me please." And lets not forget the on card heal, Gift of the Naruu, at three ticks for 2 dice, the worst heal per tick in the game so far. And the crit effect? Minus one tick. Wohoo! Now it has the same ratio of ticks per dice as every other OCH. Meager stats, weak attack, and a miserable heal, do we have the worst mini ever, and in a rare slot? Not even close. Here is what makes AC shine. Gift of the Naruu by itself is near horrible. But every Draenei ally gets to use it. Now suddenly non-healing classes have a heal! Or, the alternative is that healing classes can leave their heal ABCs behind and stock more offensive stuff. Another thing to consider is that OCH improve the higher the armor of the target being healed. Something like Savin with 3/3 stats isn't going to be taking as much damage and won't need as much healed off. AC's Smite isn't anything to write home about, but the free Gift of the Naruu on a crit makes up for it a little. Then if you crit on the heal too, it suddenly gets really good. Well, sort of. To prevent farming of AC you need a decent tank. Options are limited right now, and definately require the use of the Bulwark. Roria is the only Draenei warrior and Vindicator Hoodon the sole pally so far. Roria is a little lighter on the resist, except when Anticipation kicks in, but has a better attack. She also brings warrior ABCs which makes her an entirely different beast from the usual Wall type builds. Hoodon, on the other hand, is more of the usual, adding Devotion Aura. My preference lies with the Palladin. With Gift of the Naruu it lets him use a non-Flash of Light action bar card. Heresy, I know! Blessing of Kings will go a long ways towards keeping the tank alive and effectively increasing the efficiency of Gift of the Naruu.
Team 1 - Draenei Tank and Spank, 24 Honor
Vindicator Hoodon
-Bulwark of Azzinoth
-Blessing of Kings
-Blessing of Protection
Anchorite Cristia
-Shadow Word: Pain
-Mind Blast
-Mass Dispel
Prophet Velen
-Boots of the Crimson Hawk
-Wrath of Air Totem
-Chain Lightening
For my money, rerolls are essential for heals with 3 or fewer dice. Bring on Wrath of Air Totem. Conveniently enough, all the Alliance Shamen are Draenei. Since Hoodon and AC are a little lackluster on the offense I would go with either Velen or Phadalus to carry the team. I tested with Velen and liked him a lot. The nice thing about having a priest is that you don't need Cleanse or Purge in the SB.
Team 2 - Crazy Crits, 22 Honor
Same as above, but with Jaina instead of Velen and replace Mind Blast with the Smite ABC.
Lady Jaina Proudmoore
-Summon Greater Water Elemental
-Arcane Flux
-Polymorph
This is trying to get the most out of Smite critting. You get an extra die for Smite and a higher chance to crit for the extra heals. Hoodons damage output improves as well.
Team 3 - Lowball Honor, 18 Honor
Roria
-Bulwark of Azzinoth
-Intervene
-Execute
Anchorite Cristia
-Shadow Word: Pain
-Mind Blast
-Mass Dispel
Magdeline Prideheart
-Nightmare Blade
-Blessing of Kings
-Blessing of Might
Well thats it for this week. I am not sure what to do yet for next week, suggestions are welcome.
Sarcastic remarks should come in a different color. Then the forums would be more interesting to look at.
