Shock Barrier vs Kaelthas' Flamestrike and Hunter's Mark with Multishot/cower/AoE Questions

    Had an interesting situation today,

    1. Was in a mirror match with Kael'thas parties, and I was able to get off Kaelthas' flamestrike affecting all 3 enemy figs. he had 2 figs with shock barrier active and the other did not. Does shock barrier work against AoE? and would I roll one less dice for the entire attack?  I know I probably can't roll seperately, so was a bit stumped on what to do.

    2. Similarly, if I use multishot and one target has shock barrier or one fig reacts with "cornered" and the other has no effects that would modify attacks against it, how many dice would I roll as multishot is a single roll for both figs. I would assume I would roll less dice in both cases, but just want to be sure.

    3. Finally, if an enemy fig has hunter's mark, would I be able to reroll dice from an AoE or multishot attack even when there are other figs affected by the attack do not have any modifying effects? Does hunter's mark even work when using AoE as it doesn't target the debuffed fig directly?

Hope someone can give me advice on this.

Re: Shock Barrier vs Kaelthas' Flamestrike and Hunter's Mark with Multishot/cower/AoE Questions

    1) This was discussed before in terms of Wrath of the Prophet and the short answer is yes, since one attack is rolled and Kael'thas' shock barrier is a replacement effect, it does reduce the number of dice rolled even if not all of the defenders have shock barrier.  The side tracked discussion can be found here: http://entertainment.upperdeck.com/wow/community/forums/thread/1763033.aspx

    2) Yes, multi-shot is still a single attack that is then modified/replaced by cornered.  So, in the case of cornered, you should be rolling 2 less dice.  If one figure has shock barrier and the other has cornered, I would venture a tentative answer that you would roll 3 less dice for that attack as they are separate modifiers that do stack.

    3) Yes.  This has been addressed without too deep of discussion here: http://entertainment.upperdeck.com/wow/community/forums/thread/1729698.aspx

edit: made question two more responsive.
