    Cards that require a profession?

I just pulled up the official card list from the rules section and tried searching for cards that require herbalism or inscription. I couldn't find any. Are there even any cards that require your hero to be a certain profession?

I really want to see more cards that require professions printed.  It would make so many interesting combos that are unique to certain heroes.  I reckon that the next set will be preparing for the assault on Northrend.  This means that profession only cards could fit right in as we need to get our items prepared for the army.

I think that you Leonard have as much of a chance of having a sexual relationship with Penny as the Hubble telescope does of discovering at the center of every black hole is a little man with a flashlight searching for a circuit breaker.

They'll emphasize professions after the Northrend sets.

And if it's anything like how they've emphasized new keywords, or arena allies, it'll be over in one set.

I sense you don't like this, from the way you said it.  Personally, I like that traitor, arena allies, honor counters and the whole slew of mechanics that are only introduced for 1 set are handled the way they are.

It keeps the game evolving... I can look at Magic and see they do the same thing, I think it adds flavor and keeps things fresh.

It also leave a lots of things feeling unfinished or a the very least stale and predictable. As long as they don't totally abandon those keywords in future sets, I don't think too many people will be that upset. A new arena ally here, a warstomper there, just to allow those decks themes to continue to evolve would be nice.

I think most ppl share this view.

Agreed. Probably not Traitor cards, they were done well, deliberately made stronger/cheaper than normal talents because there's so few (except Hunter and Paladin drew a short straw there). But yes, it would be nice to see the racial keywords and especially Arena added to in future sets.

Re: Cards that require a profession?

If UDE wants to continue to explore new design space with the main three sets each year, I'm fine with that. Maybe give us one ally per block with each racial keyword?

I just would ask that for one of the auxilliary sets (such as Winterveil or DMF), they consider giving us a 20-30 card pack updating the bygone themes (Aldor/Scryer, Traitor, Arena).
