Personally, I feel that fire mages are better for rush than control. I'd also try and find a way to bump Dragon's Breath, Blast Wave, Nether Fracture, and Fizzle to a full playset each.

Every great success story starts with someone thinking you won't make it...

    Re: Burning Blue (Ozzati)

the deck's basically a semi-burn/control variant. I'm still hoping for a better Fire talent nuke spell (here's to hoping that Living Bomb won't be an over-costed crappy ability w/ major drawbacks).

    btw, here's the sidedeck list:

    Taste of Arcana x 3
    Meltdown x 3
    Scrapper Ironbane x 2
    Gladiator's Regalia
    Battle Mage's Baton

I've thought abt Set Ablaze, but I'm not sure if it's needed. as for bumping certain cards to full playsets, the reason why I don't normally play 4 copies of cards is to give some slots to other cards to give me some versatility.

am currently considering taking out Tabards of the Illidari for One Draenei's Junk and adding at least 1 more Rescue the Survivors.

The main reason that this is a bit of an iffy is because when you spread your cards too thin (ie, not many 4 ofs and a lot of 3 ofs) you tend to not get the cards you want, when you want them, and you also sacrifice a bit on the stability side.  A deck without a solid core of 4s rarely runs consistantly, thus resulting in games you lose, that you could have won.

yeah that' s true. + i think the new human fire mage nicholas has a better flip than ozzati, there's already another thread here somewhere which showed that particular human mage deck. should try to look it up and tweak it to your play style. IMO having both myriam and loraala in the same deck is quite overkill, just my thougth though

    Re: Burning Blue (Ozzati)

alright, I've changed the deck to make it more rush-based...(previous version was too slow, and rush allows me to fuel Arathi Basin easier as well). still looking for improvements...

yes, Nicholas Merrick has a better anti-rush flip (and can be supported w/ Wanted: Hogger using Fire Blasts), but I'm hoping to try out something a lil' bit "different", yet still decently competitive enough in the meta :)

    Abilities: 22

    Fire Blast x 4
    Blistering Fire x 4
    Dragon's Breath x 3
    Blast Wave x 3
    Taste of Arcana x 3
    Fizzle x 3
    Nether Fissure x 2

    Allies: 22

    Quigley Slipshade x 3
    Elder Achillia x 4
    Xanata the Lightsworn x 3
    Mikael the Blunt x 3
    Wyler Surestrike x 3
    Huntress Xenia x 3
    First Responder Avaressa x 2
    Exarch Onaala

*note: I'm open to suggestions or other recommendations for weenie rush allies. I've also considered taking out one type of ally out, so I can max out 3 others, but I'm not sure which one

    Equipment: 2

    Battle Mage's Baton
    Gladiator's Regalia

    Quests + Locations: 15

    Forces of Jaedenar x 4
