Illidan's Totem Forest *Updated Version*
Since Drums has arrived, I was playing with good shaman alliance deck, what is not rush but not n00b Myriam aswell. After lot of testing, I came with deck, which is good against Kil'zin, Vor'na, Jonas or Bo'jo, can work fast but also slow and has big endgame.
Hero: Ixamos The Corrupted 2x Illidan Stormrage
Ability (25): 4x Primal Totem 3x Earth Elemental Totem 3x Grounding Totem 3x Stoneclaw Totem 4x Death Shock 3x Earth Shock 3x Crackling Purge 2x Fel-Acid Breath (its good card in this deck actually)
Ally (8): 2x Ol' Stonewall 3x Rysa Earthcaller 3x Weldon Barow
Equipment (10): 4x Retainer's Blade 2x Black Amnesty 2x Lucky Strike Axe 2x Band of the Inevitable
Quests/Locations(15): 3x The Summoning Chamber 3x Information Gathering 3x Outland Sucks! 2x Defias Brotherhood 2x Orders from Lady Vashj
3x The Darkmoon Faire
Side Deck (10): 1x Prince Kael'thas Sunstrider 1x Lady Katrana Prestor 1x Lady Vashj 1x Crackling Purge 2x Band of the Inevitable 2x Razak Ironsides 2x Hammer of the Naaru
Okey, so as bigger issue I found Fizzlefreeze, whats even 10:90 and Voidlock discard priests, whats around 30:70, but the others, its easy. Well, I havent played against holy paladin yet. And remember. This is not totem deck, its control one. Now, I just have to win DMF or something with it :D
My tourney wins/loses: 36/12 - constructed 13/11 - sealed pack
Top 1: 3 Top 4: 6 Top 8: 9 Before known as Faragorn.
But Im better!

Re: Illidan's Totem Forest
looks like a solid deck to me, if it weren't for the expense involved in gathering the numerous epics and rares, i'd probably build it myself! i especially like the synergy between primal totem and grounding / earthclaw / elemental + rysa. one thing has always gotten me about these illidan decks though: what happens if you discard your illidan for some reason and the other one is at the bottom of your deck for whatever reason? It seems like you basically lose. Therefore, the thing i like extra-much about this deck is the inclusion of a large enough weapons suite to count as an alternate win condition.

Re: Illidan's Totem Forest
Thanks a lot for reply :) Yeah, its kinda expensive :P And best is that also flip power of hero can destroy totem >> AoE of Primal >> Summoning Chamber quest... and if I have 2 daggers out, for 5 resources, I do 5 dmg+1 on each opposing and draw a card :))

Re: Illidan's Totem Forest
I prefer to run at least 1 copy of Deep Sea Salvage in any deck with Illidan, if that's your deck's only win condition... if he gets discarded, you could be without a way to win.

well its not my only condition. Usually (what I unpredicted) I win when I pop primal/stoneclaw+rysa+earth elemental totem(+weldon). Illidan wins me just like about 30% games. But regardless this fact, youre right, 1 copy of DSS would fit ^^

For starters, play 4x Grounding Totem and 4x Rysa Earthcaller. They're really good, and crucial to the lock.
I also suggest 4x Mana Spring Totem and a couple of Corki's Ransom for draw. I found, when using a Totem deck like this, losing hand was a problem unless I had Mana Spring or Corki's. (For another janky combo, Corki's + Coif of the Wicked =] )
IMO add 3/4 Searing Totems too, it's just a great card to have on the field and too easy to protect with the lock. Keeping in mind this lock is a lot easier to set up than other locks. Searing is annoying for allies (especially Tinker) and when they have no allies, builds up some decent damage on their Hero over time, making it that much easier for Illidan to kill.
I'm also wondering where Totemic Recovery is. It's basically your insurance, and means it's virtually impossible for your opponent to keep the lock off the field for more than a turn. It has good synergy with Darkmoon Faire too, and it's just a damn good card - a +3 in the best situation, which isn't unlikely. Totemic Recovery is also especially necessary against The Bringer of Death and the occasional Mass Dispel.

Re: Illidan's Totem Forest
For a deck that is also aiming to go illidan I wouldn't recommended Corki's Ransom.
Throw in forces of Jaedenar and against the illidari as quests since you got so many abilities.
I generally always favor quests that rely on what my deck has then guessing what my opponents are running so I'd remove minions to make some room for other quests. Also defias is a big gamble when it only works with 3 cards in your deck (weldon barov) sub that out for ability centric quests.

Re: Illidan's Totem Forest
-1 Minions of shadow council +1 Someone Else's Hard Work Pays Off
I really like this deck, looked like you tried to use all elements evenly (locations, equips, abilities [ongoing, interruption, totems, regular],allies, master hero, heals, ally/equipment/ability destruction). Gj.
This just in: totems even more OP, attachments to totems are now destroyed thru ppp (who knew >.>). Spell Suppresion --> fail
Check my signature and let me play test my deck against yours ;)

Re: Illidan's Totem Forest
Alright, I play tested this deck and you definetly need 4x Rysa. As for Illidan, evertime i drew him he just seemed to be a dead draw. Mabey only use 1 or none. Mabey 4 orders from lady vashj too, or mabey some mana spring totems - seemed like my hand was running near low or near empty alot.

Re: Illidan's Totem Forest
Yeah, I have removed already 2x Ol'Stonewall and added 4. Rysa and 4. Weldon. Orders are bad quest, because when you are holding illidan at hand, you just cannot complete it. I am working on better draw, just need to get right idea. Maybe some manasprings thrown in...

Re: Illidan's Totem Forest
Ok, heres updated and better version:
4x Primal Totem 4x Earth Elemental Totem 3x Grounding Totem 2x Manaspring Totem 4x Death Shock 3x Earth Shock 3x Crackling Purge
4x Rysa Earthcaller 4x Weldon Barow
2x Illidan Stormrage
4x Demonblood Eviscerator 3x Aegis of the Vindicator 3x Band of the Inevitable 3x Seer's Signet
4x Information Gathering 3x The Last Barow 3x Battle for Crimson Watch 2x Minions of Shadow Council 1x Someone Else's Hard Work Paid Off 1x Deep Sea Solvage
It got better draw, its more control and offers more hate.
Also, I am playing with idea of (nearly) Solo Kilzin as totem control. It would look like this:
4x Blood Knight Kyria 2x Illidan Stormrage
4x Primal Totem 4x Searing Totem 4x Grounding Totem 3x Earth Elemental Totem 3x Manaspring Totem 4x Death Shock 4x Frost Shock 3x Totemic Recovery 3x Crackling Purge
3x Seers Signet 3x Band of the Inevitable 2x Aegis of the Vindicator
4x Counterattack 3x Swift Discipline 3x Kolkars Aggression 2x Minions of Shadow Council 1x Deep Sea Solvage 1x Someone Elses Hard Work Paid Off
I just have to say... Totemic Recovery+Primal Totem is amazing. It can go to 8 dmg AoE
My tourney wins/loses: 36/12 - constructed 13/11 - sealed pack
Top 1: 3 Top 4: 6 Top 8: 9 Before known as Faragorn.
But Im better!
