Inspired by the many but far away Championships for World of Warcraft Miniatures, the store Carta Magica in Montréal, Québec, Canada, decided to organize their own tournament! Big prizes, Unique repaints and special WOW items, plus a newly designed scenario that was never tried in a tournament yet! We will be doing everything within our power to be playing at Comic Carnival East every Friday from 6-8 from here on out. Want to just play for the fun of it? Come on out. Want to play for prizes? Come on out. We've got veterans and new comers both. There's not a person that won't be able to find a group to join in with. Every time that we have a group of 4 or more interested in playing the same format, we'll be able to sanction the event. With multiple T.O.s available, no week ought to be without one. Comic Quest will be hosting a LOCK-IN on Sept. 26th

The Door are locked at 9:00pm and then the LOCK-IN begins...

There is a $10.00 Entry Fee to be Locked in...You receive 1 blue ticket as your proof you paid...and then 1 red ticket that you can use to enter any Tournament or Event from any of the games....

I will host 3 tournaments with 30 minute swiss matches and 45 minute top cuts, with 8 players MAX. I will be judging and not playing. $2 entry fee.

The first 2 will be consist of 3 swiss rounds, cut to top 2, with no restrictions on factions, 2 card action bar, 3 characters max per team, 17 Honor Level, and 15 Victory Points to win.

The last will be an one-man tournament, so that means 1 character per team, Honor = 8 or less, with 5 action bar. 3 swiss rounds and cut to top 2. 8 players max. First to 6 Wins.

And then we have free play for the rest of the time.

Prizes will be awarded to first and second of each tournament. We are also giving away 3 Booster packs! To win you must play in at least one tournament and names will be drawn at random. So if you enter all three, you have 3 chances to win! Also I am giving away a DELUXE STATER KIT from the Core Set. Come out and join the fun!

Now Pokemon Parts of it....Monti will reserve our "slot" because, these games will fill up all the tables fast.... He is reserving the back 8 table for us....

But! Please be aware we can not use those tables for backpacks,binders etc...those will either be put under your table or by the lockers....

We will begin the Rival Trainer Challenger League at 10pm to 2:00am then from 2:00am every 2 hours will be a Tournament. The Tournament Fee is $1.00 (so if a person brought $15.00 they would probably be good for the night) There will be a box of prizes for the winners to pick a prize.... 1st place from each division.....will win in each tournament. The prizes will vary from Pokemon T-Shirts, Pokemon Tropical Island Sets, Pokemon Toys, Boosters, Gift Certificates, Rare Cards, Limited Edition Dice and more....

Hello all, in an attempt to establish a Battlegrounds location for New York City, we are gathering at Jim Hanley's Universe during their Open Games Night, Monday Night to get some minis on. Their management is highly motivated to stock product and support a WoW minis Battleground, but it's up to us to show our interest. So come out and support us! There is a case tournament for wow minis at the recess games in southpark mall (strongsville, oh) on Sunday (8/9) at Noon. Entry is, I believe, $20. That gives you one booster to use in the format + $5 toward the big prize (a case of spoils of war).

Bring 1 figure from each faction (alliance, horde, monster) along with 2 legal action bar cards for each.

At the store, you will use the booster in a pool with the piece you brought that matches the faction and build an army with 3 figures of one faction.

We need as many people as possible for the tournament, so try to make it if you can and bring a friend!!!

For this Monday, we'll be playing a fun variation off the normal tournament. This will be a modified version of the "Heroes" format.

You pick one character, any character. That character receives double their health total, and gets to use 9 ABCs, any ABCs that are valid for that character, including generics and equipment. All other rules are the same. Refresh ABCs after tick 10, score 4 points for a kill, 8 for a legendary, and 1 VP at the end of ticks 5 and 10. I just want to make one comment on strategy, and that's that it's really hard to use 9 ABCs in 10 ticks! So try to make sure you're not wasting a bunch of ABCs!

ALSO, this Saturday, the 25th, at 1:00 p.m. there is a sealed WoW Minis event. Hector and I will be going if at least two other people from the forums and/or the e-mail I sent out tell me they'll be going. Otherwise I'll skip it, because the Saturday events haven't had big attendance in the past.

Roanoke Virginia Players Needed!!

There is a weekly Battle Ground at Star City Games every Saturday at 2:00pm! The standard BG prizes are given out. We need 4 players to make an official tourny at $5 entry fee.

To the best of my knowledge, there has not been a BG in at least two months due to lack of players! Once we were having the tourny every week, but now, its never!

Even if you just want to come out to play and not pay the $5, come on out. I'll be there this Saturday hoping for a BG, but willing to just play for fun. I even go some Core and SoW stuff for trade!
