Sneak Preview Scourgewar kit issues

I noticed three issues from the new sneak preview kit for Scourgewar. One is even though Kilix the Unraveler is suppose to be given to all players that participate in the event, the kit supports only up to 16 players. I would hate to tell players that they dont event get the participation card also if they don't win anything for coming for the event.
second I notice that if a location gets more than 16 players, they would have to turn away players because there is only that many packs in the kit.
finally the prize support that is listed with the kit can not be paid out with the amount of packs listed in the kit.
I wish all judges and T.O. a fun weekend in dealing with these issues.
I hope that these issues get noted and changed for the next sneak preview event.

First I must sorry my bad English.

I play on Europa on Howling Fjords realm. I liked idea about traveling around cities in Finland and Visited different tournaments. I lead clearly our realm qonquer title day before tournament and I was suprised when they said on final that I didnt won. Ok There was A LOT tournament not raported on Estonia. I felt I am cheated but I hadnt time to worry about it. I went home and checked about Estonias quolifiers. This is result:

I want ask that How is possible that there is NINE tournaments on one store? Is this really legal? And if it is legal Is it fair?

Second question Is that have it legal reports tournaments just day before final. Other players couldn have any clue that there is 9 tournament and so many unraported trounaments on Estonia and we couldn control any way about our realm points.

Third question or actually it is not question but I want point about those tournaments. If you check tournament reports You can see that every tournaments have just 4 player (low limit to legal tournament) and some tournament have even only 3 match! Olmost every tournament have one player drop out after first round! I know it is propably impossible prove anything but I think it is not hard to quest what is happened.

1. What you can do to this last realm qonquer?
2. What you are going to do that this not happen again? If this is legal We can be sure it is not sportman.

Problem with distribution at Ghostland RC

Was it only our realm that experienced an uneven distribution? At our realm with 22 Boosters of Drums of War we had 3 Misery, that would make 3 in ONE boosterbox, wich at least to my knowledge is unheard of..
Also in same boosters there where a lot of duplicates of commons/Uncommons, wich makes almost any calculation on wich cards to draft quite hard. SO was it unly our realm?
If UDE somewhere have decided to stack the opened and stamped boosters couldnt they for heavens sake cut out such an unbalanced card as Misery?

When will realm conquerers receive their prizes for the season? I know that scourgewar doesn't come out until another few weeks so I know it won't be on my doorstep by tomorrow, but could we get an ETA on the prizes? I asked a judge at champs and he said to email UDE. I emailed them and I haven't had a response since I sent it out a week ago.

No Realm Champs trophy for Europeans

Hi,

I don't really know where to rant so I'll just have a go publicly on the main forum.

I was told at our Realm Champs that there is no trophy to be given out to the winners of the event.
Can I ask why this is?
Here's the link for the prizes. I am and do note the 'prizes are subject to change' but if all of our American friends are having trophies then why can't we?
The travel voucher is even worth more as we get 1500 Euro instead which is around $150 less.

I don't even really care if the trophy is something cheap and tacky. I just wanted one...

TO Changes Sneek Peek Day

So I messaged my TO today just to confirm that the Sneek Peek was on the weekend. He messaged back saying that he changed it to the 5th of December (two week later). I saw no reason to do this and forgot to ask him. We may have only gotten ~6 players but that is not difference to what we normally get.

Is this allowed? Opinions on it etc?

Sneak Peaks - Recommended Booster Prize Support

Been searching all over the place (including the files over at the UDE forums) and can't for the life of me find any documentation as to how many boosters are supposed to be given out at certain events. Is there a definite guideline in place? I'm thinking specifically for pre-releases this weekend because I'm wary of some TOs holding on to cheap sneak peak stock and then reselling it at full retail value rather than giving out the appropriate amount of boosters to players.

All I really want is a guide of sorts. X boosters per player or something equivalent, but that is part of official UDE guidelines.

... Why is Mantis so useless? It can't take in to effect win rates, honour, rank, etc... It can display it but not for any good reason...

Todays wonderful effort from it... Puts me against the national champ, then someone else who I went to the last turn of time (1 win each) then ran to a seven deep chain to lose by 1 hp (so you couldn't get any *** closer) only to then for it to put me against someone who is 1 win 1 loss, lose the first, win the second, and the third game goes for 40 minutes with me top decking since turn 4 and I eventually lose it by a few HP (as Illidan, who is *** useless when you have nothing to play against, shock, yet another downloaded BlackIce)... So now I'm last because of the way Mantis decides how to match people up...

Honestly... Why do we have rank if it doesn't mean anything except bragging rights? Shouldn't it have some sort of effect on Mantis? Shouldn't Mantis be able to note down that a game was 2-0 or 2-1? Why does that make zero difference to it yet they do the stupid tie breaker based on who you beat/lost to and where they ended up and nothing else?

Why is JUST losing worth exactly the same as getting wiped or just conceding?

This is something that has been bothering me for awhile, i have waited and waited, i've been promised that i will receive this item from Ian himself. I am owed the travel voucher from November of last year. To be frank i tired of being lied to, i feel as though i should get more for waiting this long. I missed worlds cause of this travel voucher not being in my possession. I would just like what i'm owed i feel as though some retro-active things are also in store for me and all the other people who have not received the items promised. if you have also been looked over for any item could you please post i believe we should receive these items. this post is a last resort because i have yet to be noticed or acknowledged i would like a write back from someone from upper deck as well or someone to at least check Ian E. emails for my email. that is all thank you for your time.

How to be a good Tornament Organizer/Judge (The way I approach things)

So, if anyone recognizes my name, than they may notice I ask 'a lot' of questions. Sometimes I wonder to myself and think "Do these people think I am a moron because I do not know all of the rules?" and I wonder if I am going to get flamed, but the community has been really good about helping to answer questions and this has really helped me in running things smoothly. With that being said, I wanted to share how I approach running tournaments and sanctioning events.

First of all, I try to select days for sanctioned tournaments that best benefit the most people, not just myself or my friends, and I think this has really inspired others to come out and play. I also offer to run events multiple times a week should enough people wish to show up and play, after all, its not just about competing, we all enjoy the game itself.

As a tournament organizer and judge I try to be outgoing and fun with all of the players while trying to also show my authority. I have most certainly been on the receiving end of bad rulings in my time playing table top games and the feeling always feels bad, sometimes as if the judge is making the ruling in his or other players favors on purpose. Because I have felt this way I approach running tournaments a bit different and this is why I ask questions on the forums a lot. When a question arises about a given situation I always look at things from several angles, the first of which being from the official 'rules' and 'rulebook.' If I cannot find anything that would answer the question I make a logical ruling and tell the players "I will ask about this on the forums for the 'official' ruling and let you know." I then provide them with access to the specific threads where I ask questions so that they know I am being fair and honest with them and it has seemed to work out pretty well so far.

So for me, a few rules of thumb are:

Be fun and courteous while still presenting yourself in an authoritative way.
Be trusting and understanding, get both sides of every story, and give players the facts.
Be calm and cool, try not to get angry with players, its okay for them to get angry with you, your the judge and your above getting angry.
When playing, be a good sport and always whether playing or not be unbiased with rules. Its easy to 'leave' things out because they will benefit yourself.

Hopefully that helps others who are interested in becoming a TO/Judge.
