The reason for the name of the MMO, TCG, and now the CMG is that they are all based on Warcraft. Not just a few areas of Warcraft, but the entire world. Hense the name World of Warcraft.

Main reason would be name reconigition, say World of Warcraft mini's and it generate more interest. alot of folks may just want the figure a certain online or TGC character.

Second in mind, is that outside of the heroes in Warcraft most are just bland combat units. Another could be that Blizzard does not want anymore adding stuff to the original Warcraft universe, possibly incase the launch Warcraft IV.

Well, world of warcraft trading card game minis just sounds wrong.

Personally, I'd like to see them make some minis that aren't necessarily ccg heroes. I'd like to see a Forsaken male Warlock for example. Maybe in full tier 4,5,or 6 gear. We also need the full array of lock pets too ftw. I know they're already making a VW but I'd like to also see an imp, succy, felhunter, and felguard. Maybe an infernal as well.

the Blood Elf Priest isn't from the TCG.

wtf? it's the name of Mike Hummel's main. Idk what you are smoking but most of the heroes from the TCG are named after R&D's characters. they most definitely exist in the WOW universe. You're just jealous that you don't deserve a mini named after yours.

This has nothing to do with the card game... oh wait... it does? I don't care if they use the card heroes or whatever. It's a miniature game and that's what I like :).

Its called synergy. People that like the heroes from the card game are probably going to want to get some minis, so they can have a mini version of their favorite hero. Plus they already have a lot of concept art for these Heroes to go off.
