I accidentally put this in the announcements board yesterday. Sorry about that.

This past Saturday some of the best WoW TCG players in the area descended on Kernersville, NC to attend the last constructed Continental Qualifier tournament in the region. The event was held at TopDeck Games, which is the home store of both Teams TopDeck and Defias Brotherhood. TopDeck Games has a large selection of all World of Warcraft boosters, raids and the best card singles in the game. Additionally, TopDeck Games carries many other popular games and has a big screen T.V. onsite with Xbox live connected for player’s enjoyment.

There were 15 players in Saturdays tournament even though several regulars, and others who planned to be here, were unable to attend due to work issues. The decks played ran the gamut of some of the best decks seen over the past year; from Lionar to Black Ice, from Desecrator to Jonas, from Emmi to Varanis, and an extremely interesting Hunter deck that did very well.

When the smoke had cleared and the field had funneled down to the top 4, we watched as the Lindberg brothers of Team Defias Brotherhood faced off, while Team TopDeck’s Mark Paskuly took on Stan Portnov in a rematch from the swiss rounds. Then in the finals Mark Paskuly and Brian Lindberg sent Daspien and Morn Salts the Land head to head where Mark piloted the Daspien to victory.

It was a good turnout and I want to thank all of you who travelled from out of town to attend, as well as our store regulars that were able to attend.
