What is the policy on physically walking into one of these locations with our trade goods?  Will there be large men with tazers there to handle our requests?

    Re: Crafting Redemption Program Details

I think this is a really great program and all, but there is one major flaw for those of us who live outside of USA (well, in Canada anyways). We are unable to follow this step:

A self-addressed, stamped envelope (standard legal sized 9 1/4” x 4” or 24cm x 10cm). Make sure to include enough postage to mail the promo cards to your region. This will need to include enough for 1.5 oz (45g) to be sent from the office you are redeeming your cards through.

Canada Post doesn't allow to send a stamped envelope. We can send you a self addressed envelope no problem, but not a self-addressed AND self stamped envelope.

Even if we could do that, it seems kind of unfair that we're left that option only. We don't have Darkmoons, and Regionals are usually held in areas far away from here. (I'd have to drive 2 to 4 hours just to get to a city that holds them currently). People in the US and elsewhere can just go in and exchange the cards hassle free with no limit, seems really unfair that we have to mail the cards ourselves (not really a problem) but we also have to pay to ship them back? Argh! Even if I could send away for the "FREE" card, it's costing to much in headaches alone!

    Upset in Canada.

I'm not sure exactly what you are saying. It's easy to send a self-addressed, self-stamped envelope to the US from Canada. The only annoying thing is getting US stamps to put on your return envelope.

You can order US stamps online: USPS Shop

Do they read the mail you send in Canada?  How else would they know that you're sending an envelope with stamps on it?

    Re: Crafting Redemption Program Details

Thats what I was refering to, we can't get US stamps on our envelopes. Canada Post doesn't sell them.

I don't even know what stamps to buy from USPS as I have never had to buy stamps from the US for something to be shipped here, but at least it's a start.

However, this free card is getting even worse... Buy packs or UDE poitns online, thats money gone. Buy not one but two envelopes, more money gone (albeit not much unless i want my cards to be protected so i buy bubble envelopes) buy stamps online, more money gone, pay for the shipping for the stamps to be sent, more money gone!

all that money spent on a free card that people in the US can get FOR FREE without a dime spent (well, not everyone obviously)

now the 6~ week wait is now approaching 8-10 because I have to wait for stamps.

BlueRider, they don't read the mail, but USPS won't send a self stamped envelope in Canada with CDN stamps back to Canada.

    Still upset in Canada!

    Then live with it.

You think people in Asia have it easier?

anyway, wait for DMF to hit Canada if you want to save money.

exactly, it should be available to everyone everywhere the same way. Asia, Canada, Europe, USA. Sigh, stupid postal people! there should only be one international postal organization. Make things a lot easier!

    Re: Crafting Redemption Program Details

By the way, there are MANY places in the US that are much more than 2-4 hours away from the nearest Darkmoon Faire.  In fact, I would guess that's much closer than MOST places in the US.  2-4 hours sounds pretty close to me.

    Re: Crafting Redemption Program Details

DMF Chicago was the closest to us, and that's around 6 hours away. Thankfully nats is in Indy, that's only about 4 hours, lol. I don't really feel like waiting for nats to come around again to get these cards, so I'm stuck with the mailing method, I can save time over our Canadian neighbors (going to the post office to get the stamps), but probably not money. The simple fact is, the farther from large cities with these events you live, the more time/money it's going to take you to get the cards. That's been the case with every TCG that I've looked at, the smaller a town you live in, the bigger pain in the butt it is to really get invovled in every aspect of it.

Check with your local distributors, we have an address in France where to send our queries, it's likely most other countries have the same.

    Re: Crafting Redemption Program Details

Look at it like this: you don't need these cards for regionals, hence why they're only available at Premier Events. They are all playable though to varying extents, and whilst some will see more play than others they're all worth getting in varying numbers. I'm getting 4 Cobrascale hoods and 2 Eternium Runed Blades because you don't need 4 copies of a 7 drop. Sure, it means cobrascales are going to be a *** to get when somebody top 8s with it, but still it's an awesome mechanic. I personally wouldn't of offered the mail in service.

    Re: Crafting Redemption Program Details

Is there a page on the wowtcg site that is set asside for the crafting items or do I have to sift through old articles to figure out the materials for each crafted item?

porge- go to the artcile on the first page of this thread.  Then click the "order form"  it is a one page document with a picture/ and stats of each crafted card available and the materials needed.

    Re: Crafting Redemption Program Details

UDE is going to get alot of grief over the way this is being handled.  I predict a large amount of cards will be bounce back to UDE.

My advise to all is to make sure with your post office or http://www.usps.gov that you have adaquate postage and then some. I'm not just talking about weight. (1.5+  oz)  Legal size letters containing rigid items usually costs 15% - 20% more than regular foldable mail. Just an FYI.
