Sentry Gwynn is ridiculous. A priest deck with 4 copie of her? Forget about it.

You can res her, you can heal her over and over again, search her if you ned to with diplomat and she comes out early enough to matter. That strategy would probobly wipe out all ally decks, because every time they hit her (and they will probboly be throwing everything they have at her) she deals 3 damage back to them, you heal her and you're good to go. I'm thinking we have the first card that's really worth building around. HAve we seen anything that says "attached ally has elusive?" If so... i'm gonna need 4 of those... and 4 of her.

I also like the mocking blow. 1 for 1 damage and that card has to attack you're hero... very nice.

Course against a mage deck that will ability you to death she isn't that great.

Re: Uhh... My boxes are in...

Well form what i have seen the mage will need allies as a reusable source of damage. Relying souly on abilities... from what we have seen priests (and healers in general) heal MUCH more efficiently than abilities deal damage. For 3 resources you can deal 3 damage... or with a druid card you can heal ten. Healing seems to just cost less point for point that damage. Anyway, since they cant get in blows with the allies you cna out heal their ability damage easily. However the abilities would allow them to kill the ally more efficiently andm ore often..

Re: Uhh... My boxes are in...

    A couple of questions:
    - How exactly does Forbidden Knowledge work? Does it mean when you draw a card you can (technically) pick any card you want, since your deck is removed from play?

    - For Soul Link can you only prevent one damage or can you put any amount? for example 3 damage counters on an ally an prevent 3 damage to your hero.

    - For the Sarmoth (Voidwalker) does it only include battle/combat damage or does in effect abilities too?

That's exactly what it does. Of course, you can only pick from the pool of cards that you removed from the game by using Forbidden Knowledge (maybe it could apply to cards that were removed from the game through other means, but text seems to suggest otherwise)

    - For Soul Link can you only "negate" one damage or can you put for example 3 damage counters on an ally an prevent 3 damage to your hero?

Since it's an activated ability, you can use it as many times as you want, as long as you can pay the cost for each activation. So you could set up a chain to prevent a whole bunch of damage, or set up several smaller, separate effects to prevent multiple sources of damage.

    - For the Sarmoth (Voidwalker) does it only include battle/combat damage/actions or does in effect abilities too?

Well, first, it's not "the Sarmoth", it's "Sarmoth", period ; )  (that's the demon's name)
Second, it only applies to attacks, as specified by card text ("Opposing heroes and allies that can attack Sarmoth can attack only Sarmoth". So if you want to attack (i.e. declare that your hero or one of your allies is gonna battle against an opposing hero/ally), you can only declare Sarmoth as the target (defender) for the attack.

Of course if that ability gets destroyed you won't be able to draw a card. Insta Lose.

lol @ that --> "not be be mean but u sound like a geek lol"

That's like saying, "no offence but I think you're an idiot". You can't just stick, 'not to be mean' before something then say whatever you want...

and I was actually quite suprised at Mike NOT acting like a kid at xmas. Heck, I would have. He was like, "meh, I'm not even gonna bother opening the boosters now" and he didn't even rip into his pre con starter deck to see every single card in it like I would have lol...

These forums have been pretty nice and friendly so far... would hate to see more ppl like this coming in and ruining it.

Lol... Well honestly I have had a great time with all this... Last night we played for the first time with 60 cards decks, and OMG... Its not at all the same as with 30 card decks... The games are way longer... Oh, and for anyone thats ever dueled a Paladin ingame your in for some MAJOR stall in the TCG.

Skullflame Shield is very nasty when its out, and you don't have something to blow it up.

Lastly, I got a question!!! Probably the only unclear thing we saw during 10 games. Now I don't remember the name of the card, but I am sure some of you do. Its a 1/4 that gets +3 ATK when attacking an exausted ally/hero. Ok, so if you attack an exausted ally, and then the defending player decides to use protector on another ally to jump in front, does the +3 ATK still apply?

We were playing it as "no it didn't" but we are not 100% sure.

Actually, your ally keeps the +3 ATK. It's because in order to use Protector, a character has to exhaust, so it would still trigger the +3 ATK.

The +3 ATK is continuous modifer that will be active as long as the condition listed on the card is met. Technically the bonus doesn't even kick in until the defender actually starts defending in step 3 of Combat. If another character uses Protector to jump in front of the attack, the modifier will then check to see if the new defender is exhausted. Since they have to exhaust to use defender, the modifier will indeed trigger and your ally will gain the +3 ATK.
