I've signed an NDA with UDI, which means I can't talk about anything in Scourgewar/Naxxramas/Crafted/Badge/Class Starters etc etc until they're officially shown or I'm told to write about them. But I'd say at least one of the crafted cards is as playable as tankatronic goggles or cloak of darkness, and the other two meta dependent but would certainly kick butt in block.

stupid NDA!  ^_^ Thanks though, at least it means I didn;t miss it out in the open....

Re: Scourgewar Preview - Class Matters

Under the shadow seems like a deceptively good quest in limited. Just name melee.

Boots seemed a little too good at first. But i think their power level is adequately balanced.

Conqueror Gurzom is very interesting in that I can forsee many "take back attacks" into this ally: "oh, what does he do?" "oh he stops rogue hero damage as well?"

Azjol-anark allies are going to cause many rules questions now: If i have 3 abilities does he have +3+3????

And shadow word chaos seems like a stormshock except with ss your opponent picks the target (which is the one you usually don't want to hit) and sw chaos has a chance to hit the target you do want to hit.

Is the second profession on that Hunter Inscription? It's a little hard to read.

    Indeed it does say Inscription.

    Question on Ritual of Summoning...

    Conrad Hex:
No. You also can't bring in a Pokemon card, the 6 of diamonds or a Christmas card from your Aunt.

    LOL!

Sorry, but after the last set, these cards seems quite underpowered.

I mean, we have Dimzers, Adams, Dethvirs, weapons that end the game in one swing, etc.

The only good card that I see here is the Boots.

I understand that you are trying a new flavor for the set, but that doesn't need to compromise the power of the cards. Most of them seem created for Limited mostly.

You've seen a dozen cards of then set of a 200+ card set. When you mention cards like adam and dimzer, you realize that cards of their power can be in this set and just not previewed yet...

Not to mention the fact that there were only 2 rares and 1 epic in the preview....

If someone casts Shadow Word: Chaos, when do I have to use the Shadow Resistance Potion?  Do I find out what the random target is in time to drink a potion?

Also, now we see why so many Nok'tal the Savages were given out... thanks Klannoc!

No rules questions at all. +1/+1 no matter how many abilities in the GY.

    Cheers.

Re: Scourgewar Preview - Class Matters

He's talking about Prerelease events, when newer players come to play.

SW:Chaos doesn't target, so who it occurs to happens upon resolution, at that point there is no chance to use the potion to protect someone because no one has priority between the time the recipient of the damage is discovered and the damage being dealt.

*Edit* If you're really worried one of your allies would die to SW Chaos you can pop the potion in response to the SW Chaos and just hope that is the ally selected by the random effect.  Either way the potion would do what you wanted it to do, made sure that Ally A didn't die to shadow damage this turn, it just might not be the most effecient card in those terms.

I'm not sure which cards people are looking at but the purlion-type quest is pretty crazy.

An NDA, eh? They have every right to protect thier property and I'm not saying it's wrong (or that people should break it), but if someone were to spoil a card early UDE would have to get their legal team to go through the process of proving tangible losses due to the leaked information along with suing what would probably amount to someone who wouldn't have enough money to cover the losses anyway.  Again, they're well within their rights; I just find it funny that they're scaring the writers now with legal action.  What's next, banning from the game?

One day their marketing department will figure out that leaking cards to people generates more buzz than a sanitized article on thier website.

But what if you have more than one ability in your graveyard?

    Ummm ... UDE:

Diane Cannings was previewed at Worlds, and those with eagle eyes and elephant memories may have noticed and remembered she was a “Human Leatherworking Master.” This is important when you read and understand these locations. She is indeed a “Leatherworking ally,” so if your hero and the proprietor of said location (Alard Schmied in this case) are in play, you could ready up to two Plate armor.

Please tell me what Leatherworking has to do with 'Tanks for Everything'?

Do you actually have Editorial staff? If not, I will offer my services. Just mail me the article, and I will check for logical consistency and correctness before you post it.

    Cheers.

Or maybe you just need to read more carefully Lanky.

'so if your hero and the proprietor of said location (Alard Schmied in this case) are in play, you could ready up to two Plate armor.'

They were just giving an example of an ally that has a profession as a type.

Its simply an example showing that allies can have tradeskill related traits.  The card from Worlds was leatherworking. The card for plate is going to be "Alard Schmied", though we havent been previewed this ally yet.
