So, as you may or may not know, Onyxia was changed from a level 60 instance from when WoW launched to a level 80 instance in a patch over a month ago. Unfortunately there is no official way to show this change in the card game other than to re-release Onyxia, which I'm pretty sure many people would complain about.

So while Onyxia started out as a level 60 raid both in WoW and the card game, with the new cards, our heroes have been essentially leveled up to level 80. (Basically B1: 60-70, B2: 70, B3: 70-80) A group of level 80s in a level 60 instance is rather pointless, and is rather easy on levels uncharted by scientists.

So, I propose that as a group community effort (or whatever), we try to unofficially "upgrade" the lair so that Onyxia would be a challenge even now.

Be it changing the stats on Onyxia herself, upgrading the whelps, giving things resistances, upgrading all damage on abilities, added effects, threat levels, even going through a group of whelps before Onyxia appears, whatever it takes to give Onyxia the level up she needs.

If we go with a modded Onyxia, combining the best cards from 2 raid decks so you can have 4 Burninates and 4 Shattering Scales, etc.  Remove all the good to the raiders events.  Is that sufficient?

I guess I need to try out a modded Ony raid on the raiders at my LGS.

maybe make it so that onyxia and the whelps are immune to the element magic? make it kinda like dragons of myth. that would make it way harder.

It's trivial to beat when you know you are going to counter all the big ones that destroy everything. Or in the case of solanians with blood elf, you will basically counter all her abilities all the time till she dies.

If we wanted to make it truly like the MMO, you would b able to pull strangers off the street who ha never seen it and still take it down.

We played this the other week for lols.
By doubling all of her HP's
(40,60,100) It set up the challenge. Even with a Vor'na-esque (Lorella) mage in the team it didn't hinder onyxia that badly, all it really did was take a member out of the team to deal with whelps and stop Ony getting some big hits in with abilities and stopping her attacking. We did however only just kill her on the last turn before her flip enrage.
I can see how slow can mess it up, so house-ban or make her immune to slow :p
