Do you have what it takes to dominate the center on Realm Championships weekend? You'd better! Ben's got a fresh look at King of the Hill, and you'll need to be prepared . . . especially if you're in his Realm!

Re: War College - Reigning Over the Hill

I was surprised at no hype for Amalars (or Warrior in general), but I guess that info has been spread ad nauseum here on the boards already.

EDIT: Then I read Tony's article and saw that he pretty much covered all the bases.  Tough time to write an article...

I wanted to give everyone a list of all the trustworthy people who traded with me on this site, but it exceeds maximum character length. To me, that's a hopeful sign.

It's worth mentioning again that after Ben or I submits an article, it has to be edited, formatted, graphics added, etc. before it can be put on the site. The point is that it's over a week from the time we submit something to when it appears on the site, so what sometimes appears as reduntant or a reaction to something that appeared on the forum was actually written before that discussion.

The reason Amalar's weren't mentioned is because I wanted to highlight some other obviously good choices, more than anything. I also wanted to show the cyclical pattern of metagames. IE, Team A is good on the map, so people like it. Team B beats Team A, so the people 1 step ahead play it. Team C beats B and goes 40-60 with A, so people 2 steps ahead play that. Then, once Team C becomes popular, either a team D that beats it develops or people revert to A.

I praised Tony a few moments ago for his articles and want to thank you, Ben, for delivering a great episode of War College.

This is every bit as awesome as I expected you could deliver with a meta article.  Thank you for taking up the challenge of helping to define what does and does not work while including insights and explanations as to why.

    Cheers!
