Legendaries and the ways to abuse them

If the Legendary rule were suspended for a tournament and  Uniqueness rule in force instead, meaning you could use more than one Legend in a party but not more than one of any given legend, how would this impact your party construction?

    Bolvar
    Tyrande
    Jaina
    Velen

    Arugal
    Ras
    Kael
    Vashj

    Thrall
    Varimathras
    Cairne
    Rexxar

I think a Bolvar/Jaina/Velen party jumps at me first, and holy crap! what a Party that would be!  More likely though is that I would play two legends and a really stellar figure to compliment them.

Oh my god, though. Add equipment, and just imagine how high those Honor totals would be!  Vashj/Kael/Wavecaller? yes please!

    Cheers!

Missed the best legendary of all, Chen Stormstout. Hello Chen/Vashj/Wavecaller!

Sarcastic remarks should come in a different color. Then the forums would be more interesting to look at.

I have to agree that Jaina Velen Bolvar seems to be rediculous

for the cuteness factor, I'd go with Thrall, Rexxar and Cairne. Thrall and rexx/mish seem to add up decently, and a souped-up cairne to take care of annoying taunters. sunder armor, chian heal, strength of earth totem...

I'll field Jaina and Tyrande with the ever-reliable Savin...Flux+Searing Light+BoW+Victory for the Alliance is not that bad, right?

I think we finally found a good party for Tyrande.

yeah... been dreaming of Jaina & Tyrande for a while *sigh*

I like the rerolls on the chai counters so:  Chen/Arugal/Vashj.  Bracers of nimble thought on Arugal and that is 2 for 5, 2 for 7, and 2 for 5/5 attacks.

Yeah, it would open up a new format.  I've played it for YEARS it seems with minis, as it always seems I just pull 3 random figures out of a hat and roll dice with them.  It's challenging, rewarding, and fun.

Bolvar loves, and I mean LOVES Velen---just, not in that objectionable way to which many Americans object.  Prudes.

I've been experimenting with Bolvar, Dralor, Velen, and B, V, Phadalus.  I tested Moonshadow to drop the honor, but I lost too much raw power.

    Cheers!

the main one that sticks out for me is thrall, rexxar (omg he's a beast with thrall) and varimathras for control, healing and that nasty DOT of his

Ooh, I like the potential for Vari's crit and dot to soften up a few targets for Rexxar to exploit a few counters from.

Poor monsters, though.  They don't necessarily have to follow the Uniqueness rule for their generic characters, but I'm finding it hard to settle on a comparably powerful team.  Arugal and Kael seem destined to play together, but I'm having a hard time visualizing Ras in their mix or mixing Ras with either of them.  I think Ras is great, to be sure, and +enjoy working with the local kid who breaks out Ras each week, but I struggle with him.

Anyone else playing this modified format and discovering how much fun it is?

    Cheers!

Re: Legendaries and the ways to abuse them

For those of us lamenting the inability to competitively play 2 legendary characters, get to a DMF and sign up for Alterac Valley.  You and your partner each pack a complimentary legendary (with the size of the map taken into consideration, I love Tyrande/Jaina - but keep in mind that the "Mount" action will help characters close that gap faster than you might think) along with some other supporting cast.

I'm pretty sure that 6x Mortimer, although terrifying to say out loud, will find some stiffer competition, as there is more room for versatility and synergy from pieces that can't be fully developed in the 3-character parties.

I wanted to give everyone a list of all the trustworthy people who traded with me on this site, but it exceeds maximum character length. To me, that's a hopeful sign.
