I prefer the Horde Arena 1-turn-kill approach to Renewal of Life. I've heavily tested an Emek version that utilizes Gladiator Boum x4/G.Zimo x4/Broll Bearmantle/Rehgar and a few other generally cheap and useful arena allies like G.Skumm and G.Dorn to finish the game in one fell swoop. I also include Lokholar and Dethvir to help limit the opponent's options if you can't quite get the kill in one turn.
As for the rest of the deck, I chose to include the Arena graveyard-filler quests and also a few copies of Sunken Treasure and You, Robot to ensure that the Renewal triggers as easily as
possible. Random cards like Abyss Walker's Boots and Berserker Bracers pose an immediate threat to this archetype, so I also include Mist of Corrosion and Talisman of the Horde for steady, if not reliable, omni-removal during the setup stage.
I chose Emek specifically for access to the Undead-only cards, his synergistic flip, and Searing Light. Undercity and/or Cannibalize is a great way to gobble up and prevent any big allies that your opponent might discard early.
I probably won't have the guts to actually bring this deck to Realms since it is highly luck-based, but good luck to anyone else that gives this variation a try. You'll definately have some fun!
