1350297:I think UDE has been worrying more about NACCs and Worlds for August. I suspect new stuff sometime in mid september, and they just skip august to focus on the bigger event.
That's what I was thinking but if that is the reason then I think it's a serious issue. Not being able to put out Battleground kits and hold large tournaments is the equivalent to a company not being able to walk and chew bubble gum at the same time. If that is the case and they decided to focus on Gencon and forgo the Battleground kits, I personally think it's a bad move. Yes you reach a lot of people with Gencon, but you reach more with the kits. You can bring in new players at Gencon, but it's all for nothing if you don't do anything for the existing players playing at the LGS. I realize that it's still early on in the game, but I really hope that UDE gets everything back on track with the Battleground kits.
And on another note, communication is the key to this. I think players are more forgiving when there is open communication and we know what's going on. Not communicating leads to rampant speculation and does more harm than good. I, like many others, really love this game so I'd love to see it thrive and do well.
