    Priest

I'm working on a priest deck. I want to make the deck aggro based(but not based on Koo'zar)
If anyone has any ideas on cards, tips, strategies to building a good & budget-wise aggro priest deck let me know.

    Re: Priest

Shadowfiend is a good start, but I'm not sure if that's budget.

    Re: Priest

yeah Shadowfiend is really awesome but I can bet it isnt budget. So far I have set aside some abilities I think would work well. I'm thinking of a Will of the Forsaken deck, with E.O & Melt Face (Along with the new plague quest) will work more in my favor.
Just need some ideas for allies, quests, heroes..ect.
heres what i have for abilities:
    4 shadow word death
    4 shadow word anguish
    3 melt face
    3 Equal Opportunity
    3 Vampiric Tendrils
    4 Power Word Shield

    Re: Priest

Is there any reason you don't want to go Koo'zar?
Koo'zar is kind of tier 1.5-2. It's good and budget deck. Well, for the sake of non'koo'zar. Let's see a point to go priest rush without Koo'zar or Shadowfiend. You get "A Taste of Divinity". This is a great card. In ally v.s. ally match you will win 99%. How can Kil'zin kill your Joja'bee with an ability? No way. You just pay 2 and loose no card. You can protect yourself with that new abilty and can use opponent's Weldon Barov. You can even heal!

I don't think you should use any ability you mention even Power Word: Shield. You get that new ability which is better cause you can protect your ally such as Bloodsoul against something such as Nar'jo. Greater Heal can come out of expect and ruin some rush who think you can only rush.

Discard theme is very strong but I think you should go to one way street. Rush or Discard. Discard need more control and I think Voidfire wand is not "budget" for everyone.

    Re: Priest

I just see what makes Koo'zar so special. Other then his flip he's not a surprise to me any really.
But I'll see, maybe I'm not seeing the big picture. Also whats a basic decklist for Koo'zar?

    Re: Priest

It's really his flip. Why does people choose Black Ice? It's his flip. No one does it better in priest-rush than Koo'zar.

    Re: Priest

I guess he acts as Divine Spirit Number 5 eh? I always did enjoy that card...even though I only ever managed to get one copy

    http://entertainment.upperdeck.com/wow/en/news/article.aspx?aid=6151 for a Koo'zar list.

I also am not a fan of Koo'zar. It's putting all of your eggs in one basket, which can work really well or really poorly.

Some of the abilities you mention (Melt Face, Equal Opportunity, and Vampiric Tendrils) are better suited in a control deck. Also, Taste of Divinity probably won't work in a rush. As a rush deck, you don't care too much about card advantage, which ToD gets you, as you care about tempo, which ToD hurts you.

If you use the WoTF allies, I'd recommend not a rush build, but a slower one. Power Word: Shield works well with them, as does United Front.

Also, you lose ToD if the ally receives fatal damage from it, so Joja'bee will die and you'll lose ToD too. That's neither card advantage nor tempo advantage (you paid 2 and they paid "two"). ToD is good, but not that good. It'll sometimes amount to an Arcane Spikes for half cost, which is still good.

    Re: Priest

Oh! I've remember it incorrectly. I think it will bounce back every time I use it.

    Re: Priest

Ive found the best use for ToD is simply A) weakening opposing allies without killing them, so that when you tithe them next turn they both die, or you can kill their fatties with your low cost guys, and at the same time (B) filling my EotS. Only actually kill something with ToD when you really have to!
