Brit,
Fortunately for me I didn't set the 5-star rating. One of our readers must have. For which I thank you by the way. In regards to the manner of my postings.
I prefer to start new threads for each event. It is much cleaner and makes it much easier to respond to and find the content you are looking for.
As for the Southern California region, if it wasn't for Gamer, Noah amd Will, we would be dramatically underrepresented. With the exception of Will, Gamer and Noah make all the posting for a majority of the stores in the South Land, which is a little unfortunate. But it is what it is.
As far as our tournaments, Gamer is correct in that I front all the cash outlay myself. I plan the event, maintain the website, post pretty regularily and manage my own e-mail database. We are putting together one hell of a grass roots effort and Gamer, Noah, Will, and Patch have been instrumental in assisting this and in alot of cases, taking the lead. In addition, Jeff, our judge for the events, puts aside his desire to play in events and makes himself available for every event to date and continues to do so.
We as a region have a hell of a base of flippers and my only goal has been to bring them together on a consistent basis of every three to four weeks and provide one hell of an event. Eventually I would love to see the event and attendance grow and see some of the great players from the other regions make their way down. This includes some of the greats from Northern California and Arizona.
Keep the great suggestions coming, keep the communication going, keep the cards flipping. It may take a little time, but we are on our way.
