Once Sek Grimlash hits the field, 2 resources and an ally on the board will give you the ability to play some serious Demon tricks from the graveyard.

Not even a mention of Apocanon if you're playing Plague. Bring back any ally from your graveyard for the cost of an ally and 2 resources.

I'll agree that Sek is awesome, but you only need one demon to make his tricks work.  Sek doesn't actually target anything, meaning that when the ability resolves you just choose a demon.  In other words you could, I don't know, kill a Dread Infernal and get back that very same Dread Infernal to facilitate the combo.  Likewise, he only needed one Varimathras in the graveyard for the Tarn attacking goodness.  Don't get me wrong, I love the combo potential, just don't handicap yourself with the second copies :).

Re: One Card at a Time: Sek Grimlash

Your right. As you destroy the ally before the effect comes in play, you don't need another. Sek has a lot of power, I think Razorsaw works best, as you get 7 damage on their hero, and 4 damage on an ally twice. He's also cheaper than Varimathras, so you can activate it earlier

40 cards is not the size of a limited deck in WoW.

    9 + 9 + 9 + 5 =/= 33

Wow, he is in fact much better than I wrote. When I read him, for some reason I thought the word "target" was in there, which would require a dead Demon already around to function. Thanks for clearing that up; we all learn from each other ;)

Yeah, Sek is a real unnoticed gem. He is best with Dread Infernal (Hey, Mage, nice Blast Wave, I have 4 :D), but that Tarn/Varimathras was sick!

Those demon cards are begging to be used in some way for Block. They're spread out in both factions across the block, there must be some R&D design in there.

Re: One Card at a Time: Sek Grimlash

I'm really surprised Apocanon wasn't discussed. Turn 3 Apocanon, Turn 4 Tarn Darkwalker + other dude tends to add up to some nice early burst damage. With your fairly aggressive deck, you top out with Sek to start bouncing Apocanons to your hand, which in turn lets you bounce anything else back. (like maybe Tarn?) I made this deck, and the issues it has are very rarely concerning coming up with an Apocanon to make the deck run. I had a game stall with this deck once, until I got out the same combination the Varimathras combo did, except I was bouncing Apocanons instead. Not nearly as impressive, but "pay 2, deal 4" is still pretty nice, and the deck has some early game power.

Apocanon has the lovely added bonus of being an answer for Myriam. Can do battle and live, and comes down a turn earlier.

The problem with Apocanon/Tarn is it gives all opposing allies ferocity too.

I used Greatsword of Horrid Dreams X4 in my Apocanon/Tarn deck to shut off opposing ferocity. Has the splash effect of stopping Doshura/Untargetables/Protectors to boot.
