    Help with Magtheridon raid

My group has tried to defeat the Mag raid deck 10+ time and came close only once. The raid leader has a tweaked out Mag deck. He took 2 or 3 raid decks and maxed out the card limits for the best cards. We generally run a hunter, pally, priest, rogue and either a warrior or mage.

The raid leader generally kills the priest first an then beats us down when the healing is gone.

Any advice on  taking this deck down will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

-Make sure you always have the mage, and use as many interrupts as possible
-I would try to change the rogue deck if it doesnt run garrote to run it. Magtheridon has a lot of instant abilities.
-Try to give the pally some healing to back up the priest.

just a thought. you know that the channelers have 0 atk to start not 5, and that they don't return damage while defending?  A lot of people misread the way it works.

Just to note. When you do customise a raid deck, you may only include in cards which are originally from that raid. As such, you can't put in Onyxia or Molten Core raid cards into the raid deck. Also from the group size, there is a fair chance that what does kill you is the card, Toss About'. I suggest that your mage is dedicated in interrupting such cards and that your warrior/hunter would also run interrupt cards to support the mage when he is down.

Aside from that, Myriam + Inspire: ally works incredibly well... provided you ignore the part that HFI is not included in yet. Even then, Shem or Naseth can actually put a very quick burn on Magtheridon considering your play group size. Remember that you may ready the ally which means that you could actually choose not to when your allies are holding onto the cubes.

Some people learn, some people don't. For me, I can never correct myself to say Julia Graves as opposed to Julia Roberts

I agree with a lot of what he says here... one thing we took to the table to beat him handily was nothing but rush decks.. 3 of them... one mage with interrupts and draw for everyone.... one druid with buffs and resource acceleration... and anyone that can use Silent fang... a warrioir, paladin, hunter or rogue...., usually paladin and rogue for the usual hammer and gouge stuff.... good luck!

mmmmmm.. that weapon is chock full of Shamany goodness... Finally!! a male enhancement......................... shaman!!!!

We did catch the channeler error the first time we played, we also played the stupid dice rolling card wrong too, we all took one not just the one who rolled the odd. But even playing it right we averaged 10 damage a piece so that card just plain sucks lol.
Thanks for the advice so far, I am going to look into getting more interrupts for my mage. I play the priest but i guess we will just have the pally heal us or she can play the priest deck.

    Re: Help with Magtheridon raid

My group usually beats mag when I play my alliance traitor druid deck. Basically it's stuffed with cheap allies and allies that create tokens (Mya, Bearlady) combined with defias brotherhood, finkle, and orders from lady vashj, to power tracker gallen.

It also has 3x twig and 3x form of serpent.

I create such an immediate and building threat that mag spends most of his time and effort trying to kill me and keep my board clear of allies and gallens, allowing the other members of the raid to "set up" so to speak. Many games I do half of the damage. Honestly I imagine beating Mag would be trivial with three decks like my own plus one to interrupt and destroy abilities (violent reflexes = gross).

horde has a much easier time of mag.. between Bloan Earthmend for cubes and solanians/ nether fracture. toxic horrors is a great quest and mistletoe is a nice item to help with draw power.
