 See you in Berkeley this weekend for the sneak peek.(I hope, dodging grad parties on Saturday)

Just an FYI - Out of town and in the sun the following two weekends - June 20th and June 27th.  (Late flight on the 20th so perhaps I can squeeze in some constructed fun?

July 11th is a qualifier in Santa Clara that I might attend for fun, and then July 18th back to C&J's (I'm guessing nil for July 4th)

Well, interesting that you should post, Nick, as I was just about to.

I'm seriously considering giving the Sneak Peak a miss. Single match dice rolling doesn't appeal to me, and also the rumours of GoB being pretty small, I thought I'd give up my slot to someone else. Also, don't know how many kits they've got (only 12 per kit), so who knows if they'll have enough. Just getting a bit jaded with Sneak Peaks I guess. What with DK out next week, I want to see those cards first. I'll probably just put the $25 towards an extra box of FoH.

So, if anyone feels like playing at C&Js on Saturday, let me know and we can arrange a BG if we have at least 3 or 4.

I am pretty sure Brian picked up 2 kits for the sneak peek. (not 100% this was from the one time he mentioned it when I was there 4weeks ago)

I have no set plans, and financially am in the hole right now, so C&Js would be a wise decision.. We will see.  Save me your extras from this set, not sure if I will be buying a box, and if I do, probably not more than 1 and not until sometime in July!

I am still leaning to the sneak peek - I can wear a disguise and you can claim I am a new player for free prizes?  I think the other folks will be there too that usually frequent C&Js, hate to twist your wrist on Holy Saturday's.

Sorry Phil.  That timing thing you mentioned for the sneak peak is a little frustrating though.  I either show up early and sit on my hands, or guess right at how late I should arrive.  It seems like no matter what the websites say for organized play, someone at the local shops gives conflicting information.  I'll try to stop by on the 20th to play before we take off for vacation.

It was cool. Two of my friends (Ty and Matt) that have never really played came down from Sacramento and had a good time.  30 people showed up.  It was a little nuts and the prize support was crap, other than that it was fun.

Will of the forsaken is going to take some getting used to.  Easy to forget that Destroy cards that don't do damage are useless against it. 
I came in 5th going 4-1, got 2 packs..  I guess top 4 got 4 packs and deck boxes. and 5th - 8th got 2 packs.  Beat Michael in the last round, but right then realizing 1 of his allies should not have died like 10turns prior due to will of the forsaken. ugh..

Norvic got a Chicken mount Loot card, and Andrew got a Pinata Loot card.

There were some interesting decks and cards.  Druid is strong for ally based decks now with the Pack Leader and other broken ongoing abilities.  1 of my friends got the priest glad armor, so I told him to go priest.. he did pretty good for his first time, winning a deck box.  My other friend got the Shaman glad armor, but decided to go paladin.. We later realized he should have gone Shaman, but oh well.  This format was really good for them, and I recommend they play more sealed before anything else, as its the only level playing field for new players, that don't need much advanced knowledge or skill or cards like in draft and constructed. 

I played the new Skumm Red Rogue (3cost flip that turns a resource face down) and combined that with a cool new long-ranged weapon called the Arcanite Steam-Pistol, 3attk 2strike - with a cool effect of destroying a resource when u deal damage to a opp hero if your opponent went first.  Also had a cool 5 cost ability that destroys all opposing allies that cost 4 or less.  I had a lot of draw with a surge of adrenaline, and a superhot stew, and a doomsayer dijin, so I think I beat most opps by controlling their card draw while maintaining threat.  Lot of my games came down to time/sudden death.  We played best of 3 games, 5rounds all together.

Best of 3??? Are you FAQing kidding me!! That's the reason I didn't go - one game!! UDE said it was best of 3, then sent an email amending it to single games for friendly play. Now this?? *sheesh*

So, Brian asked everyone before we started, and I went around the room I was in and told everyone to yell best of 3 as loud as they could.  Seemed to work.
Down side is we didnt get out of there till 6:40pm. 
Brian was waiting for me cause Jesse told him I thought no one would show till 11am, turns out at 10:32 I was 1 of the last ones there, also Jesse told Brian to wait for you, I didnt have your cell, but figured you weren't coming.
