Re: Official FAQ (including Through the Dark Portal)

    Another Question :D
This time is about a specific card.

    You, Robot(quest)

Pay 1 to complete this quest.

Reward: Equipment cards in your hand are instant this turn.

I have been trying to figure out what the term, instant is defined as in this situation.
Does this mean that equipment cards cost no resources? I'm so confused : /

I looked over the FAQ and I didn't see anything on it : /

Re: Official FAQ (including Through the Dark Portal)

Normally you can only play a card (ability, ally, armor, item, weapon) during your own non-combat Action Phase while the chain is empty.  However, you can play cards with the Instant tag any time you have priority, including during combat or your opponent's turn.

You, Robot creates a continuous modifier that makes all equipment cards (armor, item, and weapons) in your hand instant for the duration of the turn... meaning you can play them at any time, even if it's your opponetn's turn.  You must still pay all costs associated with playing any given card, however.

Re: Official FAQ (including Through the Dark Portal)

Andiss, Edgemaster's Handguards, and Skibi's Pendant all state that you pay 1 less to strike with weapons, which means that when you strike with a weapon you pay 1 less.

If your hero is Dual Wielding two weapons, that means you pay 1 less to strike with each individual weapon for each individual strike.  If each weapon only costs 1 to strike with, then you can strike with them for free.

Re: Official FAQ (including Through the Dark Portal)

    Andiss Butcherson, 1, Alliance (Outland-110U)
    Ally—Human Warrior, 1 ATK (Melee), 2 Health
You pay (1) less to strike with weapons.

    Skibi's Pendant, 2, DrHuPaRoShWa (Onyxia-28R)
    Item, Neck (1)
You pay (1) less to strike with weapons.

    Edgemaster's Handguards, 3, HuPaShWa (Azeroth-286U)
    Armor—Mail, Hands (1), 1 DEF
You pay (1) less to strike with weapons.

    Band of the Ranger-General, 3, DrHuPaRoShWa (Outland-209R)
    Item, Ring (2)
You pay (1) less to strike with weapons for each weapon you have.

All of these cards would reduce the cost of all of your weapons, not just one.

For example, if you had all of the above in play, Dual Wield, and Thunderfury x2, you would be able to strike with both of them for free.

Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker, 9, HuPaRoWa (Dark Portal-283E)
    Weapon—Sword, Melee (1), 6 ATK, 5 Strike
When you strike with Thunderfury, choose up to five heroes and/or allies. Your hero deals 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1 nature damage to them, respectively.

Dual Wield, 1, HuRoWa (Dark Portal-127U)
    Instant Ability
Ongoing: Your hero has dual wield. (Can have a second one-handed Melee weapon instead of an Off-Hand equipment. Can strike with a second Melee weapon during the same combat.)

sorry if this has been asked before.
    whirlwind and a warm welcome.
suppose my opponent has 3 allies and i have a perdition's blade in play and then play whirlwind. how much damage dows my hero deal? 2 or 6. If 6, can I then activate a warm welcome?

Re: Official FAQ (including Through the Dark Portal)

Whirlwind deals damage to each opposing ally equal to the ATK of one of your Melee weapons.  In your example, your hero would deal three packets of 2 damage each (2 ATK of Perdition's Blade = 2 damage, dealt to each of 3 allies).

A Warm Welcome looks for a total of how much damage your hero has dealt throughout the turn, not in a single packet or to a single opposing character.  Your hero has done a total of (2 + 2 + 2) damage, which equals 6... therefore, your hero has done 5 or more damage this turn, and you may complete A Warm Welcome.

Yes, since her power does not include the word may, you must choose one of your allies to be destroyed. And due to when her power triggers, she will be exhausted at the time it resolves and will have to be destroyed if she is the only ally on the board.

Re: Official FAQ (including Through the Dark Portal)

The 'trick' with her is that if there aren't any exhausted Allies on the field when she attacks, then she must destroy herself.

    Sucks..

Re: Official FAQ (including Through the Dark Portal)

    Am I missing something here:
    1. Demon heroes
    - Demon heroes have the Demon tag. They are loyal heroes because they don’t have the Traitor tag.

    Mother Misery
    Examples that can’t be included:
    Ashtongue Blade (Loyal);
    Vindicator's Brand (Reputation)

Why can't Mother Misery use Ashtongue Blade if all demon heros are loyal?

    Because of this:

    ·        None of the four decks can include cards with reputation or text restrictions (like “[Trait] Hero Required”). This exclusion takes precedence over any inclusions. The one exception is that Obliveron’s deck can include “Traitor Hero Required” cards (because he specifies that only “other” text restrictions apply).

Re: Official FAQ (including The Hunt for Illidan)

    Hi All,

Good catch - Apocanon is indeed legal in the Obliveron deck. We'll fix that in next week's FAQ update.

    Thanks,
    PR
