Don't let that keep you from coming! The Open will likely have a pretty small field,  meaning a great chance at winning stuff. :)

Well, we have to admit it is ridiculous. Why is it that much harder to get a venue for us than any other realm?

It has been very difficult to secure a location in the area. There are some great stores, but we wanted to have it run in a location that could seat at least 125 players or so. If the event is held in a location that cannot seat the necessary players then it is a negative experience for everyone.

With that being said, the venue has changed again in the past couple days. This is the second (third?) time this has happened during this process. I'm sure that if this was public information throughout the season, we would hear no end to it about how players booked travel/hotel with the original location in mind and now can't go/have to spend more money changing it.

With that being said, I should have the venue announced by end of day tomorrow.

Is it wrong for me to hope for a surprise WA location?

    Yes.  Yes it is.  JK.

Would be really surprise if it did.  Just by the sheer numbers of players here that are Qed and the possible amount of other players it could bring out for the event.  But we have to wait till tommarrow.

This is quite true. I'd rather it'd be concrete than up in the air. It's good to know you guys were trying the whole time. It seems the space for 125 players was a big constraint. Personally, 125 sounds like an over-estimation, but you probably know something I don't. Does our realm have more players or just not enough big places for a venue?

    Re: Ashenvale Realm Champs Location?

I would imagine this is a generic size they use. If you say 40 Minis, 40 TCG Champs, 40 TCG Open you get 120+staff. I don't think those numbers seem right, but you could get 40 Minis, 60 TCG Champs, and 10 TCG Open and still be at 110+staff.

The numbers seem about right to me.  Look forward to finding out if I have to take time off work and drive 10 hours to sacremento ... or not.

    Re: Ashenvale Realm Champs Location?

    Now I'm awfully excited......

Hold on. What's with 'awfully'? That sounds really bad, but don't worry, I'm sure you mean it in the stiff upper lip sort of 'awfully' way. But, it's still awkward.

    How about

    Now I'm terribly excited.....

Now hold on again. What's terrible about it? For that matter, why do we precede verbs with adjectives that have a bad connotation to stess the importance? That's one to ponder over your dinner tonight.

    Let's try again.

    Now I'm incredibly excited....

Much better. I can trust that 'incredible' holds a connotation of worth that impresses me. Continue.

Now I'm incredibly excited to know that the annoucenment of the Realm Champs location for Ashenvale may, or may not, be coming in a mere matter of 10 of minutes!!!!

    Cheers.
