Yes you are.  The only one that is exclusive to minis that you'll need is the Miniaturization Gun.  Outside of that you can use crafting cards from the TCG or Minis.  I've sent both in before and it's not been an issue.

Those are from the one that was planned.  It was originally supposed to be out at Gencon this year, but there were reports from GAMA that it was put on hold indefinately.

There is no support for damaged miniatures, only mispackaged miniatures.

However only a small portion of the packed miniatures are damaged. In those cases, application of a strong adhesive (read as super glue) would correct most of the defect.
