    Low Numbers = Speed.

I decided to take the magic number of my deck from 4 to 3, and it has sped up tremendously.  Its all low casting cost allies and abilities.  It has a lot of board control and quick ally drops to melt faces.

My reason for posting this is, I would like to know what the lenghth of games are in a tournament format.

    If anyone knows please respond.

    Thanks

Typically our games are 10 + turns. Mostly playing control decks so we chip at the other person until we can find a lethal source of damage. Nothing lives very long. If an ally has 3 + life then that might buy them another turn.

Low numbers as in low-cost allies? Having a lot of four-cost allies would be really bad, imho, as that's too expensive for early game. Three is also on the edge. If you want to win early you need lots of hits fast, and the alliance got a bunch of really good allies for one and two resources.
    - "Last in, first out", and "first in, last out" actually do mean the same thing.

The Official tournament time limits are 60 minutes for Best of Three matches and 30 minutes for one game format matches.  With additional time added for quarterfinal, semifinal and championship rounds if you cut to top 8 in your tournament.

While it is true that the alliance has small resource cost allies. I have played the Warraax Deck, lots of little things, parvinks and such; pretty much everything listed above.  My deck has enough control to get past it, even if I get a slow start w/ my allies.  I noticed that my games went from around turn 9-10, to around 7-8.  If I get the god start I can do 21pts of dmg in 5 turns.  I am playing in a tourny this weekend and I expect to do quite well.  I think my resources are optimally used, for card draw/recursion.  My board control is nothing short of infuriating for people (and if thats the case, its working as intended).  I have play tested this deck and with a test record of 9W-2L I am quite pleased with how it has turned out.  I still need a few cards for it as well.  And I need to make a sideboard for it as well.  But I beleive I am going to use some ability removal, as there is none in the main deck (in the games I have played abilities were not an issue at all).

Lets keep this thread going, I want it to get stickied. hehe :)
