A blue already has quite some time ago. I'll try to dig up a link.

It's about halfway down this thread:

A couple q's and a's for your FAQ:
Q: Can you exhaust more than 1 armor to prevent damage from a single source?
A: Yes. In order to use armor, you must be taking damage. So, if after exhausting 1 armor you are still going to take damage, you still have a valid trigger for using another armor.

Q: How does World in Flames and Chromatic Cloak interact?
A: When you would deal fire damage with an ability (not a payment power) both effects will trigger. Since you control both, you decide the order in which each effect is applied. Also, since both are replacement effects, they do not use the chain and cannot be responded to.

I think that's how you would word Q2. Maybe generalize it to cover the use of replacement effects.

Glad I came here and read all of these. I played in a tournament this past saterday and it appears that we all played wrong. I thought the people were playing wrong, but it was my first time playing in this comic shop and I didn't want to get all fussy and be a rules nazi to everyone. So I just closed my mouth and played :) Well I had a lot of fun and I will be making sure everyone will play by the rules next time. Again, thanks for this thread. I will be PM'ing you with all the problems I saw so you can roll those into this thread also.

Does Power Word Fortitude just buff 5hp, or does it heal the additional 5 health points aswell?

Does Blood Guard Mal'wani (if attacking a defending target) buff itself with the defended damage. The card effectivly can be used to boost its own attack power when attacking a responding ally.

Not really. What it does is up the max hp without changing the damage, thus changing your current health as well. So if you have 1 damage on an ally and use it, they still have 1 damage on them, but now they have 5 more health to go through before they die.

He has to have damage dealt to him to do it. If hes at full health when defending he gets no bonus. If he attacks/defends with damage counters on him, he gets the bonus.

I'd like to see this answered in the FAQ.

    Windseer Tarus reads as follows:
When Windseer Tarus attacks for the first time each turn, you may pay 1, if you do, ready him.

From this, since it says 'attacks for the first time', I infer that he then can attack a second time if the cost is paid? Is this a correct interpetation?

Yes, he would be able to attack a second time.

Ok, I ran a celebration tournament this past weekend.  I had a question about when you could use payment powers.  I understand activated powers and how they work but Payment Powers, ie those with the arrow symbol (page 19 of a rulebook) are listed as part of the action phase.  Can these also be played at anytime like activation powers?  I know that was mentioned in the FAQ but I was still uncertain.  Love this game by the way!!

Re: FAQ: WoW TCG Rules Questions - Updated 10/29

    A few more to add...

If I do damage greater than an ally's health, am I still considered to have done my full damage, or only enough to kill the ally?

For the purpose of effects such as the wraith scythe, if I do damage greater than an ally's health, am I still considered to have done my full damage, or only enough to kill the ally?  If any of my damage is prevented via armor, am I considered to have done my full damage, or must I subtract the amount prevented?

Also, if someone could write up a tight, comprehensive guide to the chain with clarification on effects, I think that has been one of the single most disputed points where a hand goes up and calls for a judge.  I'd be nice to have something as part of the FAQ that explains it on a printed page for people to understand.

Thanks!  Great job on the list!

    Full damage.

You first place all damage counters on the ally/hero. THEN you check to see if it's still alive.

    Here's a question:

Can the card Rend be attached to a character in stealth? Also, if a character goes into stealth, does Rend a) bring them out or b) have any effect?

    Thanks for the help.

Yes.  Stealth only prevents a player from using Protector against that character.  Rend will not bring them out, but damage will be assessed normally.
