Yeah! Looking forward to playing Priest control with Mass Dispel for all those stupid totems.

To everyone saying how awesome hatchet totem is, noone mentioned the fact that you have to attack with it, meaning that Myriam you wanted to kill is probably protected by Weldon, or Antikron, or anyone really and you get damage back...same problem enh shamans have. They are too easily stopped, and the set armor helps them very little in that department.

Re: Fields of Honor Preview - Axes and Armor

Nobody said Hatchet Totem is awesome.
In fact, some people said it was just rubbish and a few people pointed out that it isn't as bad as that and that it can work in the right deck.
In a Totem deck the hero mainly does nothing. With Hatchet Totem, she/he now has a weapon and can attack/defend.
Absolutely nobody said that Hatchet Totem is the answer for Myriam but then 90 % of the cards any deck packs, is no good against Myriam.
The armour set is no good for a Totem deck but, give a Shaman a Vengeful Gladiator's Cleaver, the means to pay 0 to strike with it, some allies (a la Kilzin) and drop the Armour Set. Your hero and all allies can strike with the Axe, having each one a +4 ATK each. Counting that you probably have dealt some damage on previous turns, it means you'll probably finish any hero you're facing, Illidan included.

The only thing I win is honor...

Idk if you have ever tried Enhancement shaman on constructed tournament, and if you did, it wasnt very good then.

Enhancement shaman isnt easyli stopped. Only one really annoying thing I have found is Cyclone.
Except that, with so enormous quantum of burst and with fastness of daggers, its hard for enemy to keep me locked. Also, with Quickstrider Mocassins (one of best cards printed in this block) you can ready yourself if you wish

This is great.  I really like the air totem, and the armor set. My enhancement  shaman deck is going to get these ASAP.

btw if we dont count totemic abilities, did you notice the funny thing that best control abilities offers Enhancement shaman? I am really thinking about enha control-like deck.

Re: Fields of Honor Preview - Axes and Armor

Vengeful Gladiator's Cleaver doesn't add to the ATK value of an ally, but rather replaces it.

Re-reading it, however, I can see it can be interpretable either way.

Your hero has dual wield. You can strike with Vengeful Gladiator's Cleaver while an ally in your party is in combat. (If you do, that ally gains this card's ATK and damage type this combat.)

No, you interpreted it wrongly. When an ally gains something, it's an addition, just like when they say "your hero gains protector". Then your hero has an added protector keyword.

I may be wrong though, we need clarification from the vets.

Re: Fields of Honor Preview - Axes and Armor

Even if it just ends up being 4 damage for 3 resources, that's still the same ratio as lightning bolt, and more importantly, it is melee damage, so it isn't impacted by Silvermoon.

Re: Fields of Honor Preview - Axes and Armor

OMG I think I just figured out how to make Hatchet Totem good!

The weapon removes itself from the game when the Totem dies, so if you have Netherbane out, the Totem dying won't affect the weapon. Of course this is assuming the weapon's effect isn't considered being removed "by the game", which I don't think it is, since it's a part of the card effect.

But "they don't have Dual Wield" you say? Well, Shamanistic that ***!

    T1 Shamanistic

    T2 Netherbane swing for 2

T3 Hatchet Totem swing for 6

    xD

    Hm that looks interesting :D

I was thinking about different thing. Having Antonidas Aegis in offhand slot.
Leaves hatchet totem untargetable and uninterruptable.
