We already discussed these rumors, and someone with an actual job at UDE went on the record in the forums to say that the issue with delays is due to manufacturing. No new set till 2010.

VASSAL hosts an epic battle of forums titans weekly. It's new but a great way to keep the game alive with this community.

Search these forums for keyword "Vassal" and you'll find great, and i mean GREAT guides on how to set it up for WoW minis and to play.

This community is moderately active and does what it can through individual effort to keep this game alive while many of us eagerly await the announcement from UDE on when SoV enters production.

    Cheers!

I like how "buried in a user's fairly obscure message board posting" equates to "on the record."  It was far from an official press release.

Not that i'm falling prey to doom and/or gloom, but that 1 buried message board posting could have been a very convenient stalling tactic.  "Let's wait 3 months, so by that time the user-community will be even smaller & less engaged, then we can blame the product-line failure on them for not supporting the game, pull the plug, and get a lot less bad press in the process."

If you want to lap up the "evil Chinese factories" excuse as gospel truth that's fine, but we don't know for sure one way or another.  It wouldn't be the 1st time a gaming community was played for fools by a publisher.  I hope i'm wrong.

I don't see how it matters either way.  Organized play is still being hosted and planned, and very imaginatively I would add (e.g. King of the Hill for Realms and Tri-color party for DMF Vegas).  People who truly enjoy the game play it with their friends, play it on-line, play it at BGs (where available), and play it at the official UDE/WoW events.  Of course we look forward to a new set, and since figures from it have already been made available we have plenty of reason to believe that it will be produced and made available.  There is no reason for people who actually enjoy the game to speculate on what happens next, as it is completely out of our control.

It's a loud-and-clear statement on human character that we demand answers and guarantees about the future of our entertainment as if our very lives depended on the knowing, let alone the result.

I wanted to give everyone a list of all the trustworthy people who traded with me on this site, but it exceeds maximum character length. To me, that's a hopeful sign.

well the organized play people had to come up with something different. the game is getting very stale.

Wow...it looks like *somebody* had sour milk with his Cheerios this morning....

the tighter you grip on the hope that this game will survive, the faster it slips from your fingers into oblivion.

That's a nice-sounding statement, but is it really true? Is it really the case that the more we want WoW Minis to keep being produced, the less likely it will happen? I didn't know our hopeful desires and patience for the game had such a bad impact on its longevity.

    3057894:

my suggestion to all the smart people here reading this. SELL YOUR STUFF NOW while it still has some value to someone, because when this game dies the violent death that i predicted MONTHS AGO, you will be stuck holding a bunch of chinese plastic, that isnt worth jack squat.

I obviously can't speak for everyone, but when I personally buy into a CMG, it's because I enjoy playing the game...it's not so that I can spend $1000 on a collection and then sell it later for $800 (at *best*). So why I should sell my collection now is quite simply beyond me. Maybe some others would, though.

    3057894:

try using a a Manufacturer in the USA for your product. go over seas for cheap ass labour, then you deserve the shoddy cheap ass product you recive, IF YOU EVEN RECIVE IT. overseas manufacture is for people who do not value the country they live in. buy USA, or get the hell out of the country.

Yep, and then we can pay $35 for a single booster. Sounds great to me.

The idea of buying-USA sounds fine and dandy on paper, but let's see how well you practice what you rant:
-What kind of computer do you use? Is it 100% manufactured in the USA?
-Do you wear Nike, Adidas, Reebok, or just about any other name brand shoes? They're all made in sweatshops overseas.
-Where does your gasoline come from? Oh wait, I shouldn't ask that question. :)

Loud rants with all-caps sometimes seem like they're full of fire, but I've found that they really end up being nothing but hot air. Case in point.

Re: Is WoW Minis on the chopping block

Thanks for the concern Krazyhoofz, but my collection already paid for itself... At worst if this tanks I'll have a nice collection of free plastic that was paid for through my winnings. And more memories of competitive fun than you.

If quality is all that matters then you would need to figure out what country makes the best cars/shoes/ect. I doubt the US makes the highest quality everything.

I really didn't miss the posts by KrazyHoofz/Headhuntaz.  In your selling off your collection thread you mentioned that you couldn't log into your Headhuntaz account.  I'm guessing you were banned for being a troll.  Your lesson was *clearly* learned.  And when you say that we can't get anything out of our collections.....yeah I just added mine up and I'll break even if I sell it.  Not bad considering it's worth nothing and it's all worthless chinese plastic.  I look forward to another rant from you later on under a new name once this one gets banned as well.
