The original song itself is slightly older than that, though he could have been referencing BHGs use of it.

Wow, that whole set of phrases has been used a LOT.

Its Rock, Paper , Scisors - so its normal that Kiltin loose to Pally or Druid Control, but this one is Sitting duck for Varanis, and thats not how should be.

No disrespect to Corey in any way.   This build of kilzin is simply the one that avoided silvermoon city all day.  I personally don't think it is optimal at all.
I dodged Silvermoon City all day too. So did all the top deck dodge it and that's why they did so well or was Silvermoon City not a big factor at all in a Black Ice-heavy meta?

Any kilzin who made top 8 either drafted 6-0, or dodged silvermoon city all day.

Our team all played kilzin, and had something like 10-14 losses combined to silvermoon city (between the 7 of us).  After the event I thought "well, I guess the top deck was better prepared than us and ran skumm baggo."... Nope... It managed to simply dodge it.

We all thought like you did.  Silvermoon city should not be a big factor at all in a black ice heavy meta, so why tech our kilzin for it?  Looks like Corey thought the same thing, and got away with it.

All of this deck's answers to Weldon require either two cards, or flip + a card.  Was Weldon a non-factor in this meta, or is he easier to deal with than it looks at first glance (how/why?)?  I guess with 14 weapons, Retainer's Blade isn't *too* bad a plan, even if almost half of them are dual-wield.

Its similar to the one that top 8 at DMF koln. I played vs the guy who top 8 at the nats in the world gagetstan championship. Very solid deck and very good player. Most people think it takes any player to pilot it and that is totally untrue he was the best kilzin player I have ever seen.
Realm Championship Minis Season 4 (Top 8)
Realm Championship Season 3&4 (Top 16)
    Worlds Gagetstan Championship (10th)
    Nationals 09 7-2 Day 1
Nationals 09 Spectral Safari Constructed (3rd)

Fork Lightning is your perfect answer to Weldon.

You also have 4 Retainer Blades on Instant speed due to Truncheon.

Re: The Gladiators - The Roof Is On Fire

None taken Chris, and yes I did luckily dodge Silvermoon all weekend. Going into the event all our BE decks we had, Pally control, and Vorna I will honestly say cut Silvermoon (yes I know we're dumb =/). My buddy and teammate Matt Okimoto ended up going 4-0 then lost to 3 straight pally decks who went T1 silvermoon, T2 concentration Aura, Turn 3 Antoniadis shield, and T4 Blessed Life... So simply said I believe if there are going to be approximately 3500 cards available to players you have to get lucky; and I was the lucky aggro player of the weekend to dodge the players who played the Silvermoons.

    Well put.

There were enough of us Kilzin players that someone had to make it through and dominate the top 8.  If it wasn't one of my team mates, I am glad it was you.

Re: The Gladiators - The Roof Is On Fire

Well Coreys Kilzin Deck and my List i used to play on Natz are different in many ways. I dont wanna play Quest wich will draw me Cards for sacreficing Resources, i destroy my own Fuel for Mid/Late Game with that. So i have to use this Quest only in Late Game ...... honestly i realy dont want to get there. I played the Shamane Preparation Card and i felt very happy with this Choice, cause i could strike for 0 and doing other things instead paying strike Cost each Turn (this slows me down). Today i wont play anymore Johnny Rotten in Deck, cause he wasnt as good as expected ....i would add some Fork Lightning and Torreks Assault instead Dr. Boom. My Deck for Gadgeztan was not same than German Natz cause i didnt had the Cards with me and noone else had Constructed Cards eighter ^^. Silvermoon isnt a big Problem for my List cause you do most damage with Weapons and Dudes. Silvermoon Player cant underdrop all time against good pushing Kilzin so you can just wait and Natural Damage Bomb will explode.
Kilzin is defenetly one of my favorite Choices on Tournaments because i think many Cards do the same or near the same (its not based on Keycards at all, gives you a good view in next Turn Future).

In response to the prep card, I felt that the strike cost was not that big of a deal on most the weapons, I feel very comfortable paying a strike cost to deal between 10 and 12% of a hero's life in 2 resources, and it allowed me in a surprising way to keep more threats in my hand, so the opponent always put me on having more burn, and this allowed me to buy more turns to draw out, even before questing.

I'll stand by falling to corruption, that quest is my hero, I can't count on 1 hand how many times one of those two draws ended the game, and making the draw so cheap resources wise was amazing, also casting a sha'kar with no hand, and no burn dealt that turn got some opponents thinking.

Like you said Silvermoon can be played around if you know when to present the threats in a certain fashion, If you don't understand what I mean by this, Jim Fleckenstein (SP* sorry Jim), summed this up very well in a video interview prior to the finals in Paris, Kil'zin vs Vorna, in that you need to time the burn to get the most damage in under the Silvermoon, and get him/her to waste cards they wouldn't normally to stabilize, then strike with weapons/allies where you can cause the most problems for the opponent.

    "Well put.

I appreciate this Chris, I don't know how you guys came to the conclusion of Kil'zin, but it was many 4:00 AM nights 4 of us were up until, and not until 1:30 AM the night before did i throw the deck together, and bought doshuras on the spot until we switched, I guess two of us got it right, but I was the fortunate one to dodge the horrendous matchups, and pull threw.

My Kilzin List was AGGRO ....means RUSH means FAST .....and yes i dont wanna pay strike cost .....and yes i dont wanna fill my hand to give OPPONENT more time to set his board of .....i think you guy dont understand the game/ the deck

Re: The Gladiators - The Roof Is On Fire

the decks are different, and you both did really well. i don't think there is a need to argue about why you played the cards you did because you both obviously understand the game. you should both hug now. ya. hug him like that. ya. thats good. i have some popsicles down in my basement freezer if you want to hug down there. the cage? don't you mind the cage. those are just rabbit bones...(if you want to inspect the rabbit bones, turn to page 15. if you want to go home and listen to some backstreet boys, turn to page 18).

page 18: you realize the rabbit bones were actually todd's bones. todd was the redheaded boy who lived next door. "those freckles were just askin' for it" you thought to yourself. just as you were thinking about todd's disgusting freckles, you felt the hot, heavy breath on the nape of you neck. so, pretty much in top deck mode, you notice the hammer on top of the cage and just start hojing the hell out of everything (drawing lots of cards too). with more than a turn to stabilize, you head home. and holy crap. the backstreet boys are on the radio! you listen to it. you do.

page 15: whelp, your dead. and next to that triple-idiot todd. even his bones have freckles. "the freckles roots grow deep" you say to yourself as the key turning ensures your capture.

After seeing all the DMF boston winners (mazar, ice with no protectors) we realized that we should have just played reliable kilzin.  All the decks in the meta were moving away from protectors/healing (last realm champs had plenty of healing thanks to druid control popularity) and towards adam/myriam.  It meant that kilzin was prime for a return.

Kilzin also had the only flip to deal with gromble on the play and draw.
