Scenario is King of the Hill. Would I be correct in saying that Jaina Zoo would be the best team to run and try and get Jaina to the hill and play ice block?

Can someone link the rules to King of the Hill?

Also, we would (of course) like to know if Spoils will be legal for that set.  Don't worry though, I'm not holding my breath.

    From the Deluxe Rulebook:

Objective:  Hold the central high ground position for as long as you can.

Party Building:  3 characters per party

Scoring:  4 VPs for destroying an enemy character, 1 VP at the end of each game tick goes to the party with a character on the central high ground.

Winning:  The first party to score VPs equal to or greater than their combined honor wins.

So a few questions.  First, the way the scoring reads is that you get 1 VP at the end of each tick and not just at the end of ticks 5/10.  Is that correct?  If that's true then it looks like Wall teams could be very strong if they are able to get and hold that central spot.

    Re: Realm Championships

Assuming it is true, I think it gimps wall teams more than helps them.  A low honor team no longer has to go through the high defense of the wall team to score VPs, they just have to move the wall team.  And the wall team is not necessarily any good at moving a model off a space.

An Ice Blocked character can be moved just fine through a few different means.  I would hope you would try something like that personally.

So the real question is will there be Souls to play with?

I definitely DID NOT attend a Season 4 Realm Champs. Ever. At all. Honestly.

That's the big question.  I'm playtesting and things like it's not going to be.  If it is then I'll adjust, but given the lack of information about it and the lack of previews and I'm going to assume that it's not going to be.

Awesome news, I'm glad the game still has a future and I don't have to go back to trying not to suck so hard at card games yet.

    Re: Realm Championships

Just a guess, but I'm thinking we won't see the map until probably sometime in the next 2 weeks.  It seems like we usually see maps about 2-3 weeks before an event, plus that would give UDE time to get settled back into the office.

    Re: Realm Championships

Gwon (UDE) stated in another post that the map will be the one for the scenario, out of the deluxe edition rulebook.  I think I have to go get another deluxe edition now...
