Did you get use out of entangled roots?  If so, can I pudh them while they are entangled?  Or, does it stop my crit effect?

Normally roots would prevent Sent Packing from sending them packing, but Breakthrough lets you teleport them out of the roots and punt them. It was there to hold stuff still until Cairne could get to it. Hammer of Justice served the same purpose.
Sarcastic remarks should come in a different color. Then the forums would be more interesting to look at.

Wow that is really tight.  I wonder if we will see roots in worlds tommorrow.  I know some people who were testing it for gencon events but decided not to go that route.  Nice stuff dude.

Morova with Roots is pretty killer for CTF.

Re: Help to make a party w/ cairne

Back to the issue of a Cairne-based party performing well against Mortimers, I would suggest sideboarding Belt of the Guardian for him.  With DoT damage minimized, a solidly built party can keep Cairne on the board through the entire game.  You still need a protector, or Aleyah with Blessing of Sacrifice, but the 3rd party member is pretty flexible based on what style of play you enjoy.

I wanted to give everyone a list of all the trustworthy people who traded with me on this site, but it exceeds maximum character length. To me, that's a hopeful sign.

Re: Help to make a party w/ cairne

I had a blast using Cairne. Here was my list

    Cairne Bloodhoof
    - Mortal Strike
    - Charge
    - Cairne's Thunderclap

    Daxin Firesworn
    - Curse of Agony
    - Incinerate (filler, lol)
    - Fear

    Champion Shadowsun
    - Psychic Scream
    - Power Word: Fortitude
    - Heal

I had a fun match this morning where tick 2, I knocked the opponent's hunter, then burnt down his rogue before tick 5. Very powerful team, but fun to play.

Re: Help to make a party w/ cairne

I would say that Cairne is the most fun piece in the game for me simply because of the complete uniqueness of his Sent Packing + crit, but I have yet to feel comfortable with the idea of playing him in a competitive environment.  So if you're playing with friends, I would suggest taking him for a spin, but if you want to win at Realms, you had better do some serious testing.

In truth, I believe that this scenario offers Cairne the best opportunity to date to win an event.  If I was going, I would give some serious consideration to Cairne/Aleyah/Wilton.
