There were several times when I saw the same thing with Uncatalogued Species this weekend.  Personally with the deck being horde I'd look at For Great Honor.  Hits Vol'jin and your removal, although not Tendrils.

No Loraala? I guess this was the easy RQ to go to, not very competitive.

I think he was very sarcastic in this statement. I'm glad to hear you guys had so many players in SC due to the fact that Sacramento (where I played) had a tourny the same day. I'm pretty sure we would have been playing out there, had that not been the case.

Also glad to hear there was such a deversified list of decks . Sac had alot of Loraala and I'm pretty sure thats why CalQ made that statement. I wanna say we had 4-5 people playing the deck. We had 7 people playing mage altogether. Top 4 was 3 Loraala and 1 Pidge.

Gary needs to step his game up. I know your more pro than 3rd place sir. =)
Limited is once again my game, and Craig Motha !*%$ing Paterson is my Name.

Thanks for the report on the Koozar deck. I've been trying out Troll decks for constructed with quite a few different classes recently, and yours has some nice ideas for me to try out.

I appreciate you going into more detail regarding the deck. I must've missed that you posted when I was lurking in this forum or I would've replied sooner.

Do you feel that going into a different class would offer better opportunities to cure some of the decks ailments? Going with skumm not only gives you skumm #5 but also let's you play heartless. Although this may just be a cute trick rather than a definitive help it is an option. Rogue can give you some answers to regailia, although narrow (demolish).

I have no idea if this would send the deck in the wrong direction but it is an option and I'm curious as to what you think about it.

Rogue ability removal is much weaker than priest.  Rogue has no in class answer to ongoing ablities, especially not a powerful one like priest.  Victimize does help with the draw though.  Rogue is good at killing allies with carnage, which can wipe the floor with alamo.

The theoretical power of adding Stab in the Dark and Victimize is, admittedly, pretty tempting, while Heartless is cute. On the other side of the equation, however, I'm really not sure how I feel about the net gain compared to what I lose.

Functionally speaking, I lose pretty much all of the deck's oomph by giving up Priest. Taste is absolutely huge and plays both sides of the fields very effectively. Vampiric Tendrils is a great bit of discard and helps you buy time. Anguish is phenomenal Weldon killing. Horrify serves nicely as anti-Dimzier tech. Raiment gives the deck some endgame staying power. Disperse Magic is absolutely phenomenal, as can be Mists properly played. Not to mention that Koozar's flip is quite handy.

Overall, I really don't think the deck would really benefit from the switch in block? I'd have to think more on it.
