Hunter rush could be a real problem, but if it could be held off, I see a few cards being powerful in this format:

    Misdirection, Battle Tactics
    Duty Bound
    Finishing Shout, Deafening Shout
    Kazamon, Grandma Deadsie

And pretty much any other forms of ally hate (e.g. Water Elemental, Blizzard)

Also, I don't see any explanation of team size, so I Was a Lot of Things would be great assuming a minimum of 2v2.

Re: Queue Up for Warsong Gulch

Currently the format premotes rush and punishes control.

As a house rule you could also say that capturing a flag does one of the following:

    a) exhausts all allies in your party and they cant ready during your next turn.

    b) Puts that ally back into your hand.

    c) removes that ally from the game (  capture & /afk anyone?)

Aswell to prevent abusive mechanics such as shadowmeld/Darnassus, elusive untargetables and Kazamon, you can say that an ally that has captured the flag loses and cant have powers while holding the flag.

Man is capable of as much atrocity as he has imagination.

Weapons seem extremely good in this format.  Normally you hesitate to clean out allies by attacking into them, because balancing your health vs need to kill them is a challenge.  With the way respawn works, you could conceivably lose nothing by just swinging with a Twin Blade all day long.

Draenei Paladin would be my first instinct for this format.  Run some elusive allies + blessing of freedom / new+permanent blessing of freedom for your flag runners.  Tanktronic goggles + unpreventable damage is your offense.  If you need it, Twin Blade to attack.  Splash Barov and Ossati as needed.

Mage would be my second pick; I feel like Cold Front will score you some points.

it would definitely be amusing in 2v2 or 3v3, seeing heroes don't really die.

That doesnt even matter if they die, it brings up more strategy..
Like in 2v2, other can do flag-job, other can be like Daspien or Feral Druid, like he can kill allies from way+kill their heroes to Zero their points...

I agree that it promotes rush, but I don't think it necessarily punishes control.  Basically, you just keep answering their allies until they run out of steam (which control should be able to do), then you play a big dude (preferably with ferocity) and win.  I know it's not as easy as that, but I'm sure it can be done.

Not only would this remove a lot of abuses, it mirrors the MMO fairly well, considering you can't stealth or mount, and that after a certain amount of time holding the flag, damage dealt to you gets increasingly multiplied.

This guy hit everything i was gonna say.

Also: I don't like how you can't go solo in this game format, so technically you can't just stick any deck into this mode and have fun.

I have a friend who plays almost exclusively solo decks, and this mode disappointed him greatly.

I just realised how evil Sudden Death and Taunting Blows are in this format.

We just played 2v2 yesterday. Our team was playing dubblefreeze with luppo. Just plain broken when you have some interrupts. Pity the druid in other team had barkskin (x3).

Anyway i think it's a fun casual format.
