    Kelemveor:
Seems cumbersome but it does explain how the new druid can heal if it crits off its normal attack and/or crit triggered melee attack while in Cat Form.
    Well...
    WoW Minis Comp Rules:
302.3    While a character is in a form that grants one or more new payment abilities, that character can’t play any other payment abilities (other than the ones granted by that form). Payment abilities that change that character into a different form are an exception to this rule and can still be played.
Since Cat Form grants a new payment ability (Claw), a Druid cannot make its regular attack.

This means that, for now, Vi'gor can only heal when he crits with Cat Form's Claw, or Bear Form's Maul, as he cannot make his Wrath attack while in either form.

Re: WoW Minis Comprehensive Rules v1.02

I got that. I was referring to the event where Vi'gor crits on Claw and subsequently crits on its crit-triggered attack. He heals on both instances as the crit-triggered attack is an attack as it satisfies the conditions for being an attack...(it is a payment ability which has a physical/magic power).

For those that may have missed the update.

Re: WoW Minis Comprehensive Rules v1.02

Don't you mean that the honor of a pet is 0 instead of the cost?

    CR1.03:

304.2 Each pet is a character and has a clock, which is initially set to match its master’s clock after all summon costs have been paid. Each pet takes individual turns separate from its master. However, a pet is removed from play if its master is destroyed. Each pet has the same faction as its master. The cost of a pet is 0. Pets follow all character rules except for the following:

Re: WoW Minis Comprehensive Rules v1.03

Consider 2 adjacent spaces.  Space A contains a character and Space B contains a totem.

By my reading of the 1.0.3 rules the character in Space A is NOT considered adjacent to the totem in space B despite the fact they are in adjacent spaces.

Is that correct?  Wow, if so we have really been playing totems wrong here.

    thanks,

    Marcus

Can you put down the relevant CR sections so I can look to see what you're referring to please?

303.4 ... Any characters and other totem tokens occupying the same space as a totem token are considered to be adjacent to it, and it to them.  A totem token is not adjacent to itself.

    Glossary
Adjacent (406.1): Two spaces that share a border are adjacent.  Characters are adjacent if they occupy adjacent spaces.  A character is not adjacent to itself.  Any characters and other totem tokens occupying the same space as a totem token are considered to be adjacent to it, and it to them.  A totem token is not adjacent to itself.

    ---

These rules state characters are adjacent to other characters when they are in adjacent spaces, and totems are adjacent to other totems and characters in the same space, but I do not see anything that states characters are adjacent to totems (or vice versa) that are in adjacent spaces.

Is this just an oversight, or a rule that limits adjacency of totems to a single space?

I really, really think its an oversight, but if it limits totem adjacency to a single space, screw you totems!

Re: WoW Minis Comprehensive Rules v1.03

I would say that the spirit behind the rule is that two spaces that touch are adjacent. Therefore, their content are adjacent to each other.

Then, they added an exception for totems since they can be in the same space as another totem or another character. And then added the provision that something is not adjacanet to itself.

In fact, the main problem is how this is worded. There should not be distinction between characters and totems when looking at "adjacency" rules. Since flying characters can step through enemies, you can always step through your allies, and you can step through enemy pets, even characters can be momentarily in the same space and they should be considered adjacent when they are.

Re: WoW Minis Comprehensive Rules v1.03

That being said, I made a discovery when reading the new rules, something I've been doing wrong since last february.

When reading pet rules (304), the last part is about "pet follow all character rules except for the following:"

(304.2a) Players score no VPs for destroying a pet. Pets don’t respawn. Pets don’t block LOS (405.3).

But there's an exception missing. Pets can be stepped through by enemies (as 404.1b points out, hidden among many other rules). Don't you think that this exception should also be listed in the pet exceptions at 304.2a (with a link to 404.1b, as was done for the LOS exception)? Even if only to make sure you have them all in one place and don't forget this them when searching pet rules? I've been making wrong judging calls based on this omission in the pet exceptions for over 2 months now...

Does 601.1c mean that crits that generate -1 armor tokens (like Delyn) apply before the defense roll now?

    Yup.

601.1c   If one or more crit results are rolled, the attack is a crit and each of any associated crit abilities triggers once. If a crit ability increases the amount of attack damage, it resolves immediately and increases the number of hits by the specified amount. If a crit ability creates an ongoing effect, it resolves and is applied immediately. Otherwise, it waits to resolve during 602.2.

401.1c  Unnamed counters on a card increase or decrease the stats (power, health, armor, resist, or move) of that card. Such a counter generates an ongoing effect (708) until it’s removed.

    Cheers!
